Crypto companies have brought big tech companies like Google, Facebook, and Twitter to Australian court of justice due to their crypto-related ads bans. The bans resulted in millions of loses in potential earning for these companies. The legal case currently worth $600 million but could grow as high as $300 billion if the case drags on. It's not just big companies that put pressure on these tech giants but also individuals who's harmed by their ads practices.

Hmm this is really bad , i know those companies were trying to minimize fraud and decided to ban ads from crypto companies , but forgetting that scams cant be fully reduced , I guess those crypto companies should use other means to advertise their sites like ads network s and so on

why would they sue them ? it's t heir own platforms and they have to right to ban ads aka they are free to do so, that's like not allowing people to get into your house because it's yours

I guess they sue them because most of the crypto ads advertisers already bought and created their ads and it was already running it without reaching the actual time it will end , before it got banned ,so they need refunds and others

This might likely be the reason for the legal action if not it is choice as online platform to choose the ads they allow or disallowed but if there is a financial commitment earlier then they should not just ban them like that.

Yes that might be because you can't dictate what they should accept and what they shouldn't since the crypto ads companies have no former deal with them

Currently, social media like Facebook, Twitter, You Tube are monopolize many ads space on the net. And their banning of crypto related ads are hurting crypto businesses. Remember not all crypto projects are scam.

I once read that facebook is also accepting some Crypto currency ads currently and Google is also accepting already from what I read in the article above.

I was talking back then when they still ban crypto ads in 2018. This legal case has been going for two whole years now, and I don't see it will be done in this year.

A lot of regulated exchanges and legit crypto companies also joining in this fight against the mentioned tech giants. I'm not sure if they could win but let's see what happens next.

I think they don't have the right to sue them , except when they collected money from them to display their ads , and then fail to do so , otherwise it is their platform. And they can do whatever they like .

The Australian's law says otherwise though. It's not good to monopolize something and these social medias are having such a great influence they can do anything they want, that may lead to bigger problem.

True indeed , however every site will only work in a way that will benefit them . however social media platforms have actually being enjoying monopoly, and are greed to allow other companies to excel through them

This is a very big issue!! , fine those social media want to curb crypto scams , but that doesn't mean they should ban ads from regulated site also , am suprise its not even one social media site but almost all the popular ones join too
I think their fear is competition . co sided it this way , once they allow ads from cryptocurrency sites , and their users seeing that they can make money in cryptocurrency sites than the social media , will switch over to cryptocurrency sites .

It might not be competition with crypto ads companies because those cryptocurrency sites dosent look like social media sites and are totally different from them, I am thinking of ads competition like banks ads (which pays more)vs crypto ads might have made them ban it

The rate at which Crypto currencies activities are on the rise give them the stand to win the case against Facebook,Twitter and Google except there will be another platform as huge as them to run their ads conviniently

Yeah am also thinking some high personnel individual who love crypto currency might join them to win the case against the social media giant like Facebook , google, etc
