Hi All,

This is my 2nd attempt to try to join Amazon Mechanical Turk and have been denied with no offered explanation.

This is the response I got back:

Greetings from Amazon Mechanical Turk,
We have completed our review of your Amazon Mechanical Turk Worker Account. We regret to inform you that you will not be permitted to work on Mechanical Turk.

Our account review criteria are proprietary and we cannot disclose the reason why an invitation to complete registration has been denied. If our criteria for invitation changes, you may be invited to complete registration in the future.

Is it because they are no longer accepting workers outside of the US? I'm Canadian and do some work at Clickworker/UHRS and I am waiting for the next process to get approved for iSoftstone (they will be sending me testing & qualification info).

Has anyone else been denied at mTurk? Did they give you a reason why?

Congrats on your payment.Is mturk available all over the world? I still don't understand the approval of mturk. It said we need an account in Amazon website. So I applied for mturk from the Amazon account. But it was not approved. Do you have any idea about the qualification process? How you applied for mturk.

Thank you so much mate . Mturk is available for 43 countries . Applying is easy , you only need Amazon account . I was already rejected after applying . And I've waited for 6 months to get approval . I'm not sure for the qualification processing .

I tried to apply also, but they declined my account without even checking my ability to do tasks. Most probably the reason would be the area of residency. I guess they do not allow international members to be part of their community.

Looks like you're crushing with it. I have not earned much. Because I am not in US or canada. as those are the countries where the earning is very high. And also the amount of time it takes to reach payout is lot easier. so that being said, i guess we have to see how the mturk can be good for the asian people. for me i have very low number of hits. and also the amount of tasks to be done are slow there. so not much time investment.

I got rejected at first but 3-4 months later I got an e-mail that I've been approved.
The site is good to earn some extra cash but the main problem for international users is that you can't get your money in PayPal or in your bank account and you have to spend it shopping on amazon..

You are sure on fire earning on mturk. Does that means if one is rejected, there maybe hope of been accepted later on? Plus, is your country among the eligible countries?

The reason is obvious, they have reviewed their policies and it is not longer favourable to visitors outside US, their reasons are best known to them so I advice you try other sites, may be in the near future you will be reinvited.

This is legit but they only hired US based people . we outside us are not allowed maybe soon they will allow us to work with them. lets wait for their reviews on top

I have got accepted to mturk and in my opinion it is quite hard to earn any real money anyway. I've been told it gets better after you get more hits but I just haven't put in the time yet. I hope you find something great.
