The statement said, "We are buying $ 5 million worth of Bitcoin from our own balance sheet." and it was explained why this decision was taken.

As days passing, bitcoin is gaining more and more investors and companies joining it. As a result the possibility of introduction of giant companies is hyping the other companies to join soon in fear of missing out.

I think the company mentioned in the news is a medium sized company. But recently, many small and medium-sized companies, whose names we do not know, are publishing buying news. Let's see when the news of a big company acquisition will come soon.

This is helping bitcoin to build trust on investors and thus the price of bitcoin is continuously rising as everyday huge number of investors are joining. The last time I checked, it was trading around 57.3k and I am pretty optimistic that it will reach 60k within next week.

The ripple though is I think also was influenced lately by the Gamestop reddit group where because robinhood restricted the gamestock the group jumped to dogecoin then eventually to ripple, that's what I got from following the trend on twitter
