If you don't the largest bank in the United States then let me tell that it is Morgan Stanley. The bank has launched a new crypto-focused research section, which will be lead by Sheena Shah. Shah will analyze the impact of cryptocurrencies on treasury and corporate bonds. This new development is caused by the growing adoption of cryptocurrencies and other digital assets in the global space.

Good to see banks showing more interest in cryptocurrency , they are probably creating a research team to check the importance of cryptocurrency and the advantage it adds

well I guess they have to if they are looking to be relevant to society in 30 years. There is lot of core business going to fintec and dezentraliced start ups that disrupt traditional banks.

Exactly they actually need to follow the development ,there are even banks that are adopting cryptocurrency so it would be good if they start considering it

The work is changing and the banks have to move. If they do not adopt they get disrupted. They become the new Nokia of banking while crypto is the iPhone of the twenties (it's a metaphor)

Well, this is unclear, only the title is informatie.
JP Mrigon created JPM Coin in February, so the reason could be JPMC remained unsuccessful, and it wants to find out the flaws.

Yeah probably if they actually don't utilize the opportunity now and adopt it , people would not focus on them again ,and it's the government that might face the consequences since their billion dollars revenue from banks would be reduced

This is a very good one coming from a financial institution. The earlier banks look for ways of integrating cryptocurrencies into their platform the better in order not to be left out.
Let's watch and see how the project goes though.

I think that the governments will of course look into other tax revenue streams....look how the regulation of crypto trade is tied to taxation laws. They might be slow but the governments are not stupid... most of them

They will surely look for other source of revenue , but the problem is that it's just difficult to erase their major revenue power off just like that , even if they are finding other means

well this will not be directly lost it will be more like a slow change but they hope to keep with the old model and get the new cash flow in addition.... this is not gonna work ...

That is such a great move by the bank. I hope the conclusion of the research will be one that favors the development of cryptocurrencies. The US citizens will benefit alot from cryptocurrencies being accepted by such a big bank.

Exactly it's going to be hard for it to work out they have been used with the old model of generating revenue and the new method might not favour them like the old one

There is only one way the potential or risk associated with cryptocurrency can be discovered and that is through research. Glad that the company is doing so.

My opinion is that this is a good idea and what was just needed to be done in the financial sector owing to the fact now that people are really into crypto currency and digital money

This will help the adoption at a large scale to be honest and will promote Crypto in the best way to be honest actually in my opinion ...

He is such a prolific figure when it comes to grayscale BTC holdings, his shares in the institution shows that he is strong fan of BTC. Seeing him going on to create his own coin isn't a surprise anymore cos he's presence is diminutive in cryptocurrency ecosystem.

I live in the USA and there is one thing that I have learned over the years about the business world. If Bloomberg reports about it, pay attention! Morgan Stanley's crypto research team was reported on by

Warren Buffet is one of the wealthiest men in America. People always want to hear his financial advice. He says bitcoin will come to a "bad ending" and that it's worthless. (Buffet quotes.)

Oh really? Well I don't agree with Mr. Buffett. But who's going to listen to me? However, if the the country's biggest banks have established a cryptocurrencies research team, that means they have completely disregarded Mr. Buffett's financial predictions and they want to get in on a piece of the action. Morgan Stanley's CEO also does not agree with Mr. Buffett.

This is a story that should be followed closely. I want to know the results of the research and what the banks plan to do. Because once the banks decide what they are going to do, government regulators will also make their move.

My opinion.
