One of the most known money earning online forum (rumors says that MMG had 100.000 members), moneymakergroup.com has been shut down in the september-october 2017.
Other related and sister websites such as talkgold.com, goldrater.com and web-life.org (the last one was a monitoring HYIPs type) has been unplugged from internet.
The admins, the twin brothers Krassenstein , are right now under investigations and accused and/or suspected by the Department of Justice and Homeland Security for wire fraud , advertising HIYP websites and possible association with such websites for shares.
The Krassensteins claims that they didn't do anything illegal, they didn't created/or joined a HYIP websites empire and all they did was to advertise such websites on their forums just as normal advertisers just like adsense ,facebook ,etc and those campaign could be also active somewhere else on adsense or other websites.
The twin brothers have 2 big houses and investigators are suspecting that one of the houses , sold for $ 540000 has been bought with illegal money .
This house has been sold by the brothers recently and investigators seized around $450000 and the brothers didn't had anything against this measure, which is a sign of cooperation.
The seized money might be used to be returned to the cheated naive people who filed complaints to the police over the years for losing money on pyramidal scheme websites promoted by the Krassensteins.
The authorities has also seized all the computers on a raid from one of the brother's house for investigations since 2016, reports NBC 2 news.
According to the http://behindmlm.com/mlm/moneymakergroup-and-talkgold-owners-accused-of-wire-fraud/ the brothers are most likely to go to jail for wire fraud.
Moneymakergroup.com which launched back in 2004 was created with an old and buggy scrypt and hasn't been upgraded over these 14 years. The first sign of getting shut down was on around 22 september 2017 but the community said that the website was back online. In october 2017 the well known website moneymakergroup.com has been shut down completely and there is no sign of returning back online because once again, the brothers are most likely to go jail.
Eduard and Brian Krassenstein which are claiming to be business mans and journalists are also co-founders of the 3DPrint.com (a 3D printing news website).
