I've had a social bookmarking site that is based on India and most traffic comes from Regional country. Presently I stopped in developing because it won't generate money from Adsense and Affiliate programs.
Does anybody let me know how to monetize this social bookmarking site? Is it good to develop in these days?

Try using Stumbleupon's monetization strategy. Sell ads directly to any of the webmasters who want more visibility. There'll always be people willing to pay for that.

If you make it a prerequisite for everyone to register first before submitting sites, you could build a huge email list. There are numerous ways to make money using an email list :)

If none of that makes you any money then SELL the bookmarking site. That I suppose could make you some decent money.

you can try to incorporate into the site CPM ads,also try to use affiliate links in your users content,you can also think of selling ads space.If all fails then you can sell the site.

These days viglink and skimlinks are two good options for you to check out. I have also learned to monetize with the custom banners for sale. It works out if you ask me. Because the social bookmarking sites have comments which can be used for the monetization keywords. So you can use even the infolinks in such case.
