Microsoft provides a platform to run blockchain services. It's their business model to provide services that are requested or potentially make customers to look to AWS if Microsoft doesn't provide them. There is no blockchain or crypto hype within Microsof.

The only thing that can combat piracy is the blockchain system, not crypto. I just hope they don't abuse it since microsoft as company had done a lot of illegal things too.

I think that with many governments also starting to show support for these coins as well, that it has become imperative for these companies to do so, because this will create synergy in their financial system.
