As reported by TechExplore, the tech giant Microsoft asks other countries to follow Australia and their controversial plan to force online platforms to pay up whenever their stories get published online. This move has gained a fierce backlash from both Google and Facebook, as both of the tech giants threaten to discontinue their service in the country. This event marks the unusual split in the big tech sector. Some observers say that this move by Microsoft is potentially caused by a chance for Bing, their own search engine, to shine even further and take up the possible market void in the Australian online presence should the law is passed by the Australian politicians.

Can this be possible? I personally doubt these intention but Africans can't be part of this but I just hope it can be resolved amicably just the way it should be

What kind of law is that ?,and i think if google discontinue their service it from the country it would really affect the citizens , because many are use to gmail. , google and co

Idk why I don't like bill gates... Maybe because he keeps putting his nose where it doesn't belong. Just let the countries do what they want.

I don't understand what Australia will gain by passing such law. They should understand that Facebook and Google are big tech company that will be difficult to do without.

This is what they should come to terms with, they need to know that Google or Facebook can't be undermined and that's the truth. So they should stop the move
