It has been reported that Miami is trying to lure people to their country to operate their bitcoin mining rigs, even offering them cheaper energy rates as an incentive to bring their mining rigs there. What are your thoughts on this?

They are probably helping the development of crypto currency and they would still gain more revenue when those miners start making profit ,its a very good innovation

I wonder why would they need to hire people from china. There are already many tech geeks available in Miami. It has become the hotspot for all the crypto activities.

It is not that they are hiring these people from china, but rather that they are hoping that the chinese rigs move their mining equipment to Miami, to increase the mining power that miami has in bitcoin.

Oh I see. That may be a good idea as china is already banning its bitcoin mining firms. Thus the chinese miners might have been searching for an alternative. It could be a win win situation for both.

Some of those China miners may be lured to shift business to Miami if the profits is worth it and the ban in China totally enforced.

Since I am a person who thinks first of all about protecting the environment, my opinion about this strategy turns out to be purely for profit! There seems to be a total lack of interest on the part of the United States to avoid the destruction of our habitat !! ??

Is that the whole miami's people or just some capitalist from miami who want those miners and their rigs? Mining in miami will effect the environment and will make it hotter then before. They should make some environment analisys not just some profit analisys..

You are right with this. I think they need to analyze the environmental hazards this mining of a thing may cause rather focusing more on the profit to incure from the project. Though, it is a nice development in the crypto holders but I do out humanity first before profit.

I wonder how many Chinese people actually migrate to another country because of China ban on crypto? It's no easy task to migrate to another country, regardless of the reason. Plus, I wonder if the government there is simply allow people to leave the country just like that.

The environmental concerns is a major Factor when it comes to looking at bitcoin and other cryptocurrency mining because that is why there is a lot of large investors that are trying to move towards clean energy sources in order to try and clean up the environment and also make cryptocurrency mining sustainable for the future.
