The reach of Bitcoin and the number of users that it has increased drastically, and this has caught the attention of many in this regard who are looking to make the most of this opportunity and the hype that is surrounding Bitcoin. In a recent published article, the mayor of Miami has said that soon the city employees will have the choice of receiving their earnings and salary by fiat currency or by Bitcoin. This shows the faith that the Miami city has in the Bitcoin cryptocurrency and could be a monumental step in legalizing crypto and expanding its reach as well. What are your thoughts on this?

Definitely, a lot of people have faith now in bitcoin and see it as a widely accepted money so receiving it now in form of a salary wouldn't be a big deal so this goes a long way to show the level of acceptance by people

I think slowly more cities are now showing interst in bitcoin , well due to bitcoin transaction fee , i would have want them to at least use other crypto

Crypto currency has come to stay and even critics are no longer against it. So the acceptance is of higher percentage, making it more acceptable in different areas now

Yeah the people that are rejecting the use are actually lesser compared to big companies like telsa that are accepting the use of it i think

The mayor isn't the first person doing this, some other employers already did this in the past. The determining factor that will enable bitcoin to go mainstream is in the hands of lawmakers and financial regulators, not mayor like him.

Yeah your thought is right, they are a lot higher than those that are rejecting the offers. Bitcoin is steadily taking the center stage in the world

If I were a worker in Miami and I hear this news that salaries can now be paid in bitcoin, I don't think that I will want any amount from my salary to go into bitcoin. I will prefer my employers to remain uninformed about my bitcoin portfolio.

Wow is it that you prefer your salary been paid in normal cash than I bitcoin , and I guess they are paying through digital means to ease the spread of the virus by using flat currency

This is a good one. Many are becoming more liberal towards the use of bitcoin now to the extent of making it as an option for receiving salaries and that can only encourage more investments.
This is true. Seeing that it is offered in such a way will allow people to have more confidence in the currency as a whole and for those that have previously not looked into it, this could even be the prompting factor for them to try and look into what this currency is and how they can benefit from it as well.

I see no reason for that. The more the people know about and embrace the use of bitcoin, the more valuable it becomes, so, I think it is a good thing.

I agree with you in this because that people see that people are starting to take their salaries in terms of Bitcoin it would build up a sense of confidence amongst the other workers as well and they are likely to also be interested in or take a portion of their salary and bitcoin which will increase the buyer's market.

If workers gets paid in bitcoin, their employers would most definitely collect data on each transaction, as for me I don't want any of my transactions in cryptocurrency to be documented by my employers.

I think I understand your point better and I guess each person to his own need for privacy. Although, I wouldn't mind provided it is just details about the salaries and nothing else.

It will be documented to the extent that they can see that they paid you out in cryptocurrency or in Bitcoin however I think that the way that you choose to use your cryptocurrency after that is your own prerogative. I don't think that I can track the actual transactions that you make after that point.

This is an indication that the city has adopted Bitcoin ,and it will be a driving force for the employees to invest in Bitcoin . Soon Bitcoin will be legalized.

It is a very good driving Factor when it comes to the adoption of cryptocurrency within an economy and also to create awareness of the Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies that they are out there. And for the legalization of Bitcoin in order to pay someone in this currency there must be a legal standing for the currency to be used and therefore I think that the legalization would have to come before the payment.

This is very positive news related to implementation of cryptocurrency for use of common people. I hope that in the future it will also implemented in our country.

I belive not a lot of people will accept their salaries in bitcoin. Why? Because people need their salaries to pay their bills, taxes and buy the necessities they need in their life. I'm pretty sure they can't do all of that with bitcoin so they would have to exchange it to cash. So why waste all of this extra time and money when you can get the salary in cash in the first place?
