Just not up to one week that the Mexican third Richest Man shared the news that the bank he founded in 2002 will start to accept bitcoin , Mexican Governance has shared that the country will not be a bitcoin nation for now.

This was made known through the tweet of The Secretary of Finance and Public Credit of the Government of Mexico, Arturo Herrera Gutierrez.

What do you think about this development ?

The alignment of the Mexican government to crypto currencies has been discussed here during the last days. And this statement issued by the Mexican central bank gives a clear indication that there will no innovation with the current president.
I do not understand all the plans from Salinas, but maybe offering crypto based products, like crypto ETFs could be a way to by passing the order by the central bank. There are more ways than using BTC as a tender to bring crypto to the masses.

What a pity

Indeed Salinas will really be hurt by this present development . He has loved cryptocurrency as compared to other Investment and was on verge of getting his customers to it.

think they dont have plans on accepting bitcoin and are obviously doing more clarification that is why they tweeted , but maybe later in the future they would consider the use after seeing the importance

He is very obsessed of crypto and will find his way around the regulations. He will keep this plan in his desk until there is a most tech friendly environment in Mexico. Salinas would not be where he is now, if he'd gave up on the first struggle.

Ofcourse ,it seems that his initial plans was shattered by the government perhaps he didn't meet with government before making such decision
