Setting Up MetaMask is very simple.
1. Try downloading and installing MetaMask browser extension for your browser. MetaMask currently provides browser extension for Chrome, FireFox, Opera and Brave. Links to respective browser extension is available at metamask.io.
2. After installing launch MetaMask, you will be promoted to write a password that will protect your key via encryption. It is advisable to write down this password safely cause failure to remember this password might prevent future access to your wallet.
3. Next, you will be prompted to write down a 12 digit word as shown in the interface. This is your mmeronic, just like the password kindly write it down somewhere safe cause failure to access this might prevent you from recovering your account in the future. It is also important to note that these credentials should be kept safely cause anyone with access to these to have full access to your wallet.

Cons:

I prefer MetaMask. It is just easier to use, plus I can buy eth right from Coinbase (not sure if you can do that in MEW, but I don't think so).

I thought metamask was part of myetherwallet. I've downloaded metamask but i still haven't figured out how to use it.

Metamask is the one of the best Erc20 ethereum wallet which can store any Erc20 tokens , the alternative that I can suggest for metamask is trust wallet app that is available in play store.

Metamask is not so convenient to use in Android phones , I prefer trust wallet for Android phones as it supports even other cryptocurrencies along with Erc20 Token

It's just people's choice, because at many places, you still need fiat. I am not in favour of selling crypto, yet if there are some, who want to, they are our ways to buy crypto from.
But who knows we will need some money that way, unless crypto is accepted everywhere.

of course I am not in favor of selling them is clear that its value is volatile if you measure it in fiat but there is still a long way to go for the main cryptos to be accepted as global payment methods and I think fiat money is going to be difficult to eradicate it now we touch the CBDC since there are people who do not see beyond the green paper and do not conceive another way of money

If Central Bank will be able to issue CBDC, it will be able to track it too. Politicians might be given salary in CBDC to make it traceable, they will never allow it become sucess. Bitcoin is borderless, so I will invest in it, while every Altcoin has its own market place depending on Bitcoin.

I have using Metamask back in the day when i am still struggling and focused on the world of cryptocurrencies. I think metamask is very easy to use, it can be divided into several networks, it can store several tokens easily, it can be integrated with faucet websites, airdrops and others. I also think that during my experience using MetaMask, I have never had any problems at all starting to accept cryptocurrency tokens, buy, sell and withdraw to my personal exchange wallet. MetaMask dont need you to pay them first in the beginning before you use the platform, just integrate with your airdrop network sites and it will automatically saved your token there

I haven't heard about this. I've been using Metamask for a long time. I hope the issue gets fixed. Aside from Metamask, I use Trust Wallet, Tronlink, and Safepal. I might try other wallets. Anyway, as long as our keys are safe, we can just import them to any wallet.

I'm not that aware because I didn't follow any news about it. I'm going to import the wallet. Can't I import the wallet as long as I have the seed phrase or keys? I might import my wallet on Trust Wallet which is my second option.
