Ryan Watkins, A Messari analyst specialized in Crypto Assets Investment Research during an interview with fintech today predicts that ethereum will topple Bitcoin sooner rather than later , especially with the upgrade of the new ether2.0 . He explained that the upgrade will make ethereum to be more deflationary ,which is wanting in bitcoin.
What is your take on this , especially considering the fact that ethereum still have high gas fee issue?

Well it is a nice development, so fingers crossed on if it could actually topple Bitcoin, but I still think they should rather focus on the high fees first

That high gas fees is still a big issue and i think it should actually be the first thing that need to be resolved at first before and other thing i think

I think it just a hype which I know won't easily be achieved . Ethereum has a long way to go before it achieves such a height. However investing in it for long term is still ideal .

Yeah, I agree that investment of ethereum for long term is best, it is a coin with potential so future increase in its value is all but guaranteed

Its very ideal ethereum range might just follow the pattern of bitcoin and those who have invested in it , would earn high profit

Sure it will but it is not something that will come to pass easily . Secondly ethereum can fasten it if only they can work on gas fee .

I thought they were actually planning on working on their gas fee by creating another version , i just hope they do something about it

Hmm I don't think so.. only rich people who can burn their money on gas fees are going to be inviting on Ethereum now. It's not profitable for small investors..

It depends on how well the upgrade deals with the issue of high gas fees. And even then, it's hard for Ethereum to topple bitcoin. That might take some time, if it does happen.

I wish the upgrade could be based upon reducing the gas fee of ethereum , that is what majority wants from the coin. And what should happen to the coin

I doubt if there is going to be any difference by the upgrade because it is always difficult to correct such issues that was not solved right from the beginning

Its possible for it to get corrected because there could be some technological advances that could be done to reduce the fee to some point

Well, am not doubting the possibility of this coming into light, I only feel that the developers behind ethereum has not done much to help investors

Am not sure if that would happen , currently that the rate of bitcoin have gone very high , things as such would be very difficult to achieve
