I had bad experience with this site. I believe they pay but I think I needed a faster connection because I couldn't catch up with the captchas and I type quite fast actually. I forgot about it completely until now. I am trying it again and I will come back here to share my new experience. Maybe it was something off with my lap top. It was running on windows back then and it full of bugs and viruses.

It is kind of hard. It doesn't matter how fast you can type. Yesterday I singed up and I tried and the payment was 1 dollar per 1000 entries. It is too much and I just have better deal with what I do now as a freelancer transcribing for various sites and some additional work as well. I am not sure I will give it another try.

I have heard of captcha sites and really, most of the reviews about them are that either they are scam sites or ridiculously low paying sites. I mean, 1000 captchas for only a dollar? Then, there's the bugs and time limits you would also need to think of. For me, it's just not worth it to spend that much time and effort for such a tedious job.

Don't get me wrong... I answer surveys, I'm a member of GPT sites and I'm not complaining about them. They pay low but they are sure, safe and stable. Captcha sites are just too scammy in nature for me. They might not be literally scams, but they're almost to that point already.

So, just out of curiosity, what is the approximate time it takes to do 1000? Seems like that would be the make or break for me. If the site is known to pay consistently, I would give it a try as long as I know I'm not falling into another trap where it takes hours and hours to make a few cents.

My update:

I'm thinking about giving up on the site. At first the site was working properly and it was easy to enter captchas fast. Recently, it has been so slow that I don't see how I will ever get to the payment threshold.

I'm doing much better on Mechanical Turk anyways.

This site pays you to enter captchas. They pay is very low, about $0.45 to $1.50 per 1000 words typed, but it is easy work. You can choose to get paid in either Bitcoin or PayPal. You need $1.50 to withdrawal from Bitcoin & $3 for PayPal.

[update] the site has been very slow lately. The captcha's aren't even loading! Not sure what's going on. It was working fine a few days ago. Now it just seems like a waste of time. I'm thinking of just getting to the threshold payment & quitting the site.

The problem with the site is that they are not using fast enough equipement to handle loading the captcha´s in time. It may be a geography issue and maybe if you live near to where they are located it could be fast enough.. but for most people, you just run out of time waiting for the captcha to actually load.

To be fair, the captcha is going through 4 steps. The captcha company, the original website, then megatypers and then to you...

Do you actually find it worth your while? How do you get passed the terrible timing system even when the captchas dont load? I've gotten warnings for that and I don't entirely think its fair.

I really do not know. I mean if we ask ourselves what captchas are for.... They exist to prevent automated bots from exploiting certain services. Like opening accounts, pulling large data, posting large numbers of messages etc. Companies place captchas to prevent some of these.

So I can only assume that people who want to workaround some people might pay small amounts of money to humans to read and decode the captcha cryptograms when the bot needs to use them. Basically, you are a peripheral to a bot employed by a spammer.

Atleast this is what I reasoned. I honestly have no idea!

That sounds like a scam. If you're punished for something that is not under your controls, that's pretty unfair. !000 captchas for 60 scents is kind of ridiculous. That would take up a lot of time and the returns are just not worth it in my opinion. Surely there are better ways to earn money by typing?

I would like to know how much can you just by typing captchas? I don't think I can make a good amount of money. I also need to spend a long time to type 1000 captchas and we get only $1.5! Though, you can try this site if you have a lot of free time.

@Mossy Sites pay people to fill out captchas to make sure they're legible to use on websites, so that captchas that are not understandable will not be supplied to websites.

@Benoit W I tried to sign up using your invite code but the site said the server was too busy.
