❓ASK Local Stores Accepting Bitcoins in some countries. Good or a bad thing?

Yeah. And the business owners will get confused too, and they have to change the prices per barcodes of the products being sold. I just wish will always be stable and not fluctuating per day.

The more popular BTC is , the more valuable it will be because it will be harder to mine bitcoins which means that the price may stay stable, unless theres some new cryptocurrency which may blow BTC away.Still, im not quite sure about this.

its a great thing in my opinion as it makes it alot easier to use BTC directly instead of having to transfer it around so you can have it in real cash and lose alot of fees in the process

I think banks will really have a very hard time accepting this thing about bitcoin. For one, with their 1% annual interest rate no one would consider depositing their bitcoins with them. Bitcoins monthly growth rate is even more profitable that what the banks are offering.
Good point. However I have noticed that Stellar lumens are being accepted by many banks around the world. They seem to be getting a lot fo demand from the market. Not sure how the lumens are making the money though. But it seems like there are people who are into investing into it. Most likely this may work out in many ways. Bitcoins is the something that one has to be taking a lot of market control as the cost is increased.

Others are just altcoins. Just alternative for BTC, which remains the leader of cryptocoins. Litecoin is gaining good value recently. But Ethereum has its potential too.

Yeah. Then I guess banks should diversify their business by adding bitcoin in their portfolio maybe by creating a Bitcoin bank or something. As for me, we should work hard now to gain some bitcoins so that when it becomes a local tender some time in the future, we'll just rest easy.
You are kinda right. Maybe banks should add bitcoin as an option ? Maybe they can create banks/wallets where they will not control our money but still somehow get profit ? I doubt that will happen because the purpose of bitcoin is to not have any government or a bank involved.

This is the first time I heard about Stellar Lumens, another cryptocurrency perhaps? If ever, they were the first to be accepted by a bank in which case is really a great boost in the cryptocoins world. Maybe I should dig deeper into this Stellar Lumens you are talking about.

for me it would be a dream comes true, it means that I won't have to deal with those local banks anymore, and this can only legitimate the existence of Bitcoin, something that is completely in the hand of people, for a change.

The fact that we can trade services and goods with bitcoins or any other cryptocurrency will bring economic obligations and responsibilities. Maybe is not the time yet. Central Bank (Worldwide) is not accepting (any kind of cryptocurrency) bitcoin as a currency as no bank is supporting it. Locks will come soon.
....anyway, if you would like to use bitcoins as payment too, then you will be capable to change and switch prices every day, hour, minute, second.... btc pricing is changing so fast.
Agreed.I do not think banks are okay with the cryptocurrencies. They do not want the whole bank business to go down only cuz of a cryptocurrency.Im sure they are thinking something against it, or maybe they decided to implement it and find an use of it and gain profit in some way ? Still, all of that is against the idea of the cryptocurrency which is "No bank evolved"

Yes, "No bank involved" is a core reason for the cryptocurrencies existence; but what about "no government involved"? Recently China stopped the ICO's investments and see what happened to the market, huge crash. The market is recovering, but recently, hours ago, Russia did the same, issues a warning on cryptocurrencies and ICO's. Central Banks in each country did, but those are government agencies. Nobody is ready for a total incursion of cryptocurrencies in the regular markets. Bitcoins in the stores? yes, and will be little by little, like an quiet invasion......my thoughts.

I know banks don't accepted Bitcoin, but maybe in the future they will accept it,when they realize, that bitcoin can bring them a nice profit.I expect that to happen in the near future...
I honestly think the same because lets say bitcoin gets even more popular and most of the population on our planet decides to use bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency then banks will be out of profit which means that the only option is gonna be for them to start making plans which involve cryptocurrencies so they can make profit out of it .

For me this is a very good thing, it is really going to be convenient for people who have bitcoins. It will motivate others to start earning bitcoins too.
Its a good thing for sure. You go out, you buy a pizza with BTC.The only problem is the fees, the price fluctuating so much. After quite a while when BTC becomes extremely hard to mine the price might become stable.

Yes,it a good one considering the fact that Bitcoin is really gaining ground.I wish this could also happen in my country,so that I could purchase stuff with my free bitcoin gathered so far.

I think if bitcoin is accepted everywhere,it will help to reduce the burden of carry physical money around where sometime it fall off our hands and get missing or even get snatched by criminals,at least the crime level in some countries will reduce.

Is it a good thing that local stores started accepting bitcoins in some countries or is it a bad marketing strategy? Do you recommend others to follow the trend ?
I think it is a good move. Stores know the value of the Bitcoins. If they start accepting now, they would be able to see its value up close and personal when they check their sales and inventory.

Unfortunately, not every store accepts bitcoins yet. Maybe that will change if we all start telling others about bitcoin and explaining why it is good and why it should be added as an payment option. We are those who need to make that happen.
Yes,not all stores accepts Bitcoin, but in my country there are supermarkets where are Atm -s,where you can pay the bills. To my surprise I have discovered that this Atm-s accept Bitcoin too.So things are going to the right directions.

@castbound castboundoski As much as i would like to promote bitcoin, I think I'd rather not. What good is it to me if all people will accept bitcoin. Will I be rewarded for promoting it, certainly not. Actually when I first heard about bitcoin, I thought it was just a scam. It took me lot's of pondering before finally embracing it's legality and all.

I mean you don't have to promote but in my opinion you do get something out of it. The price of bitcoin might become more stable as it becomes more popular = more harder to mine.Wouldn't a stable bitcoin price be a good thing for us ? Whats your opinion

Money is only good for those people who has lots of it and so is bitcoin. If I had tons of bitcoin then I would be so glad promoting it or even using it since I will certainly get a good deal in the end. But I wouldn't argue more since a stable bitcoin is really good considering it's ease of use and it's anonymity.

There are still going to be fees no matter what you do.Its how it works...Wallets/companies have to make profit as well so it wouldn't be a big of a change. The idea is really good though ! I like it.

I have never heard of Stellar lumens.I will take a look at this.I'm interested in it,if it is getting popular.Yes,Bitcoin is taking too much transaction fees. That's why I am keeping in my wallet and maybe will cash out, when it's price rises again.

Yeah and we have no idea whether they are going to surpass the Bitcoin.Something can happen so one of those crypto's goes viral and gets more value than the bitcoin . We never really know whats gonna happen.Maybe bitcoin is gonna vanish,or litecoin or other coin xD

it is not a bad idea to accept bitcoin especially that it is accepted in some countries already and the value keeps rising, any store accepting now may reap higher profit in any future.
