Participating in a program on BFMTV, the President of the European Central Bank reiterated his emphasis on introducing a new regulation to cryptocurrencies. Lagarde said the following about Bitcoin, which has recently received a lot of attention:
--- "Cryptocurrencies are not a currency. Highly speculative assets. If the private sector is engaged in money-related activity, it must be subject to exactly the same rules and the same control mechanisms as other currencies. "---
To what extent do you agree with these statements?

There are several countries looking to put some regulations in place and several others are even outrightly trying to ban the use of Cryptocurrencies. His reiteration doesn't change those facts and I just hope all turns out to still favour investors.

Countries are somehow trying to pass laws on this issue, but apparently they are having a lot of trouble on that. I believe these laws will be passed one day. I hope a solution to the problem will be found without bans.

What he said is true, by introducing regulations in cryptocurrency will help to sanitized the system and further reduce the number of illegal activities involved.

Nothing bad witb what he just said, we all this this already. There should be a bit of regulation so as to reduce some ridks associated with btc

I think most of the people reading your opinion will agree. Markets and investors like us already want laws that will not bother investors, but unfortunately these laws cannot be enacted.

I understand your stances but at the same time, it good that some safety measures are put on ground, if that will help to keep high risks and losses away then it shouldn't be wave aside
