Hey Guys! I'm a Beginner Developer and i learned some basics in both of java and kotlin, but i'm confused which in those languages should i keep up with knowing that Java will not be supported by google in future.

I am going to learn kotlin. It seems like lot faster than java. though there are going to be ups and downs in the learning curve. so it's possible. but it takes time for learning all of that. I suggest checking out youtube video. and see if that helps you. but most likely you'd be able to learn and apply if you know java. there seems to be online browser tutorial on their site. so that cna be used as well.

Yeah absolutely Kotlin is faster and easy than Java to learn, but Java is required than Kotlin that's why.
Thanks for your suggest.

Well, if you want to focus on Google products then stick to the kotlin.
By the way they are the mainstream, you know that right?

But google will support java because android is langauge agnostic. you can use C++, c# and javascript for making apps too. and that is definitely possible. it is just that kotlin is new and it seems to be giving more quicker code. Google never said they are going to be closing java. because that's the foundation for them. they may use kotlin only in case of their new operating system which is magenta kernel based.

For me it becomes a bit harder to code something a bit complicated code in Kotlin than java as it is a functional programming language. Also learning java opens the door for all types of applications be it desktop, web or android app.

Google just recently launched kotlin and you have never made it one of the most prominent applications for building native applications for Android. I will advise that at this point in time you should go for it over Java because it is definitely possible that Google we want to make it a little bit more popular and as such there will be more job openings for it.
