Jumia is a eCommercial website that caters to people living in Africa, Cameroon, Kenya, Ivery Coast, Moracco, Ghana, Egypt and Nigeria. The website was founded in 2012 and is basically a shopping platform for people living in the countries I mentioned above. What is sort of different about this platform is that it offers food delivery services, travel booking, and believe it or not property trading. So the site is a bit of an all in one site and doesn't only offer shopping online.
How Does it Work?
This is an excellent opportunity for people living in these countries to promote products from Africa. However, you'll need the right type of website in order to do this. I think this could work if you are a travel blogger and want to promote travel and shopping in Africa. You could also promote cooking items if you do a cooking site. There are several ways to use this affiliate program to earn money online. I think any website that attracts international site visitors from these locations could actually benefit from this affiliate program.
Has anyone ever tried this before? It does look interesting and the website is very professional. I'm just not sure how it could work for everyone. Has anyone ever joined this site before and are you an affiliate marketer with this site?
How Does it Work?
- You'll need to go to the site and fill out an online form to be considered as an affiliate marketer for this company.
- They will review your website and determine if you're a good fit for this company or not.
- You'll receive a confirmation email that you need to acknowledge in order to open the site and sign in to your affiliate dashboard.
- Now you can use the tools on the site to create your affiliate links.
- One of the best ways to use these links is in reviews of products. You can embed the links or code into an article to help promote and sell this item.
- You will earn a different commission rate depending on what country you are selling to.
- The currency on the site is in Naira.
- If a person clicks on your ad and then decides to buy the item within 30 days, you'll still earn a commission on the sales of this item.
- I don't see how they pay you. I'm not sure if they use PayPal or not to send you your commissions and I don't know how much you have to earn before you can actually cash out.
