Jeff Bezos, the owner of Amazon online marketplace and the current wealthiest man in the world has just added a whooping $13 billion in just 24 hours period. It is the highest single day record jump for any individual since Bloomberg starting to record billionaires' wealth gain in 2012. In this year alone Bezos has added $74 billion into his net worth, partly due to how many people get quarantined and forced to work from home. In addition, the stock for Amazon also gained a significant 7.9% gain.

This is huge amount , in 24 hours when someone at 50 years might have not see this money. Online business indeed is a good source of continuous inflow of income.

Wow, good for him! So clearly, while most businesses are crashing and burning while this pandemic continues to decimate economies, things are working just fine for Mr Bezos. We have a saying in my country, 'money attracts money' and Bezos has just redefined that and taken it to an altogether new high! Kudos to him.

Waoh! Kudos to him. Doing great Inspite of the pandemic which negatively affected businesses but also countries. It must have come sheer hardwork and right strategies.

I think it's a combination of things, really. In my opinion, right at the top of reasons this year has been great for Bezos and Amazon is COVID-19, something nobody, including Bezos had no control over. By a massive stroke of luck, Amazon was nicely positioned to rise to the occasion and save the day when people found themselves stuck indoors due to the lockdown. It's definitely been a good year for him and we're still only halfway through the year!

Too bad he doesn't care all that much when it comes to his own workers health. But then because of this pandemic a lot of jobs were lost and he can simply replace those workers who demand better protection gear and extra bonus during this pandemic with someone else.

That's a huge amount of money to be earned in a single day .
This is why I love online business , it is not easily affected by changes in the world .
Congratulations to him .

Online businesses also got hit due to this pandemic. Ads revenue falling down across all platforms. Jeff just got lucky since people get locked up and do their grocery shopping through his store now.
Indeed online earning was affected during this covid-19 pandemic but in a little way as compared to offline jobs . it was based on this that I prefer online business

I agree on the impact of COVID-19 on businesses. While online businesses may also have been hit, it doesn't even begin to compare to the degree to which offline businesses have been hit. I mean, it's not rocket science; we are even seeing many businesses around the globe migrating a lot of their functions from offline to online, opting now to work remotely where possible. If I could, if there were countless, legitimate online opportunities for Tier 3 countries, I'd definitely ditch searching for offline opportunities and work exclusively remotely.

Indeed , I feel your pain dearie . we from low tier countries have little opportunities to earn online . we are only opportune to paid to post sites ,and cryptocurrency sites . I do prefer too , to work online from home than going for offline work .

Yes, we sadly have to work with what few opportunities we have available to us. I have to say, I also prefer to work remotely. I'm over office politics and the commute. Working from home, I answer to nobody and can work as much or as little as possible. I LOVE it?

This is where we have found ourselves though due to no fault from us and to be candid, I am loving it. However, most onsite jobs are suffering and being delayed. Those who lack opportunities to work online are also terribly hit by all of these.

If truly he doesn't care about the care of the health and safety of his workers and does hiring and firing at his will, he may have a set back in the long run because in every busineses there are pillar workers that hold the business firmly such that if they are gone the business will suffer a set back.

No, he can simply replace them since there are many people who've lost their jobs now. They're desperate, that's why they pick up any job even if the boss treats them badly.

I know, right? That's why I always maintain we need to acquire new skills in order to gradually move away from beer money sites and start earning serious money. But I guess some people are happy to remain in the comfort zone, just plodding along, making $5 every 1-2 months LOL I want to earn more and I'm slowly working towards that.

Exactly the push i've given myself. I want to make serious money too LOL. So that no matter how long things take to get back to normal, my skills remain and I'm still able to pay bills and enjoy.

those numbers are impressive, i'm just wondering how people can handle their wealth, all of that money laying in banks without any purpose and no matter how much you spend, it will never end

Exactly! I'm with you on that 100%. I think when you've been through what we've been through with horrible online jobs such as transcription, you're spurred on to do better to earn more?? I see people earning a small fortune remotely and I just want to join that party LOL

What happens when the gap between the rich and the poor becomes too wide? What also happens when one man has money far greater than anyone on the surface of earth, what effects does it have on the economy of the world?

I think bill gate and juan carlos slim will never be able to chase jeff bezos. Amazon is a really amazing company ever in the world
