In less than 24 hours from posting this update, the Amazon owner Jeff Bezos crossed a milestone Forbes has been tracking closely for almost 40 years the net worth of different wealthy individuals globally.Wednesday afternoon pushed Bezos' net worth is up by $4.9 billion, following Amazon stock edging up 2% making the 56-year-old the world's first-ever person to amass a $200 billion fortune.

This has made Bezoz who is is worth $204.6 billion approximately $90 billion more than the world's second-richest person, Bill Gates, who's currently worth $116.1 billion.

I thought people like King Solomon, Mansa Musa, John D. Rockefeller, Andrew Carnegie have passed the 200 billion dollar mark. Why then did Forbes say that Jeff Bezos is the first person ever to pass 200 billion dollars...

...I think that's a mistake from Forbes.

And again, what happens when the gap between the rich and the poor become too wide. What also happens when one man becomes so rich, what effect does it have on the economy?

It is a new milestone which i think will jever be surpassedby other in a decade other others, including bill gate. His hand touch anything into profit

He has his business flourishing so well, so it should lead to wealth, shouldn't it?
The economy directly or indirectly benefits from him through taxes and stuff. For the poor, the struggle continues.

John D. Rockefeller's fortune was not of his own since the wealth was spread among the Rockfeller family members. Not sure about the other rich dudes.

Yeah, I without reservations give him all due respect. He has his wealth and we can see his successful business to validate that. The impact of Amazon is felt all over the world.

personally i just wonder why amazon have opened office or indonesian version for indonesian market. so legally it is not available in indonesia. in here, aliabba is the king, because lazada and tokpedia are belong to alibaba

yet you never see him flexing cars or clothes on instagram or claiming that he can sell you a course that will make you billionaire, maybe people should learn something from him

Wow, that is so much money he us making. Amazon is truly growing great and he is earning so much from it.
A great milestone indeed for Jeff Bezos and this will just keep increasing Amazon stocks worth. And so huge gap between him and Gates. Some really have the pandemic favourable to their businesses.
This could really be credited to the pandemic. It has worked great in his favor since people just shop online while staying at home, and amazon provides just that.

People's preference and exposure to online shopping has greatly increased due to the pandemic and you see that reflected in Amazon and some other stores that are really thriving.

Yeah, the old generation still prefers to do things manually. But that generation has very few people right now and so technology is being adopted highly due to the large numbers of the young generation.

Technology advancement remain the secret of the wealth accumulated by most of these Influential figures currently. They make their money passively.
