Jeffrey Preston "Jeff" Bezos born January 12, 1964) is an American entrepreneur and investor. He is a technology entrepreneur who has played a role in the growth of e-commerce as the founder and CEO of Amazon.com, an online merchant of books and later of a wide variety of products. Amazon.com became the largest retailer on the World Wide Web and a model for Internet sales. In 2013, Bezos purchased The Washington Post newspaper. As of November 2015, Bezos's personal wealth is estimated to be US$ 55 billion, due in part to a recent spike in Amazon's stock price, ranking him 15th on the Forbes list of billionaires. Jeff Bezos actually joined Twitter back in July 2008, the truth is he only posted his first tweet today.

The rarest of beasts - a used rocket. Controlled landing not easy, but done right, can look easy. Check out video:

7+ years with no tweet, WHY? Because my name is Jeff! :D

At this very moment has 25k followers and growing fast indeed.

Getting on different social media is a good thing especially for business men and women. This will in growing ones business, having a say, connecting with people and also affecting lives. I'm sure Jeff is enjoying all of this now.

Yes I know and I was listing the benefits he is getting from joining so it wasn't about him joining today. So it was even good to have joined when he did.

Being the CEO of amazon is amazing, I don't know this for sure because I'm not the CEO but that is what I think anyway.
With millions of followers and customers globally of course the CEO of Amazon will need personal social media account and Twitter is a good choice.
