Following the threat by Ripple to leave it's San Francisco headquarters due to unfavorable conditions , Yoshitaka Kitao who happens to be the CEO of financial giant SBI Holdings said that Japan is likely to be the new headquarters should Ripple finally leave US . He made this known during a press conference .
Recall that Kitao is the Ripple's board of directors and SBI is a ripple investor .

US starts to tightening their regulations about crypto from what I heard. Both countries have roughly the same tax rate for crypto holders, so I doubt it's about tax.

Okay then it wouldn't be a bad idea since the US isn't really there for crypto. Another country will be there to embrace it fully. So if I is japan then so be it

japan is going top notch approach in this regard , they have a big industry for gaming , such desicions will allow more money flow and direct local capitalization of crypto markets and it will surely have a positive impact on the country's economy in coming years

Watching from a distance but its really a good move to opt for Japan if indeed it's facing some operational challenges in USA.To my thought ripple has done extremely well in setting up and investing in the company but I think probably to break big on the market bid what it feels like its been over shadowed by an influence hence the need to move to a better and conducive environment.

Ripple will do better moving to Japan than to London as was stated as a possible option in another thread. I feel London may be too restrictive, if not more than the US.

That is just it. I feel US probably favour indigenous businesses over those of foreigners in their laws. If it is possible, it will be more profitable at the long run to move.

I have raised a similar thread as regards this subject matter , the challenge is US regarding ripple as securities in the stock market or so and other tax issues can't really recall, so they consider relocation to Japan, UAE and one other country

Yeah a thread here was saying japan but the new place I just read is Dubai, so it a bit confusing to them even on where to headquartered it

It's a great news for ripple but what happen to the HQ they intended to open in Dubai? after reading some news i think that Japan is quite open minded about cryptocurrency
