The world is going digital,it just takes few top tier countries to kick start a trend before others will fall in line, cryptocurrency is to exchangers as digital currency is to the government.

But things can not just go according to how we plan it,it's left for us individually to look out for what is best and do it,if we choose to wait to join the trend it might never happen.

They are a super power at the moment so this will coming , they would never like and want to be left behind inntge race of innovation and market presence

One of the factors that are important is that they have multiple brands of the currency units and are always accepting it in one

They have made strides and they will hopefully make a bigger impact in the market soon as well .

Although I would have thought the digital currency would be based on a different network for obvious reasons, Israel has indeed taken a giant stride and the world is likely on the watch to observe how this digital shekel would impact their economy and the people at large. It being a stable coin or not would hardly matter.

Oh geez, why Ethereum though? The fees would make this unsuccessful.. who would use it when they would pay more than what they're paying for in fees? And also it's going to be a stable coin for sure so no benefits in holding. Why not use trc,xrpl or bch heck even BNB is good not as expensive as eth network

I think they meant they'll build the host blockchain network on Ethereum. Layer 1 networks like polygon were built on ethereum making them have the same or better scaling capabilities at a very cheap gas fees. Any project built on ethereum can be hosted across compatible networks.
