I am a blind internet marketer,...and I am qualified to share what a blind person goes through on the net...

So,...I will post some of the main obsticles for blind users...

Most people are not aware of the dificulty involved in navigating the World Wide Web...

Number one on my list is,..."Captia"...

Yep,...captia are a blind persons worst enemy,...in my opion.

Think about it,...you have no sight but you are asked to type what you "See" in the box???

There are ways around this, however...

Use audio option along with the regular captia...

I think the best ones are the ones that ask you to solve tn numeric question...

OK,...I will be posting more nere in future posts...

Thank you,...I will be posting more as I see the need to educate the internet marketing community on the obsticles for blind marketers...
yes i really agree that we need some education in this field it was really helpful bro

Right here I would like to point out that when I am online, and using my computer...

I use the keyboard almost exclusively,...I mostly never use the mouse, accept for special occasions,...Mainly when I am trying to figure out what a webpage is doing, or how it is layed out...

Most screen readers work this way...

The blind user uses the keyboard to navigate webpages, websites, and all things inside the computer...

When I am on a webpage I use the universal keyboard key strokes,..."H" for headers,..."B" for buttons,..."T" for tables,...ect...

Now, if there is no "Alt text" for items mentioned,...Then the blind user gets this...

I press "B" for buttons, but they are not labeled,...so my screen reader says "Button",...Where as if the button is labeled, the screen reader will say,..."start" for start button,...or, "Stop" for stop button...

The same for graphics,...If they are not labeled,...The screen reader will say,..."Graphic"...

In this example you can see why it is important to label all of the buttons, graphics, and photos or pics with "alt text"...

Sure,...I can get to the buttons, graphics, sliders, and photos and pics just fine,...but with no description of those items,...I haven't a clue on what they are,...so I have go seeking sighted help to see what they are...

Now,...There are blind programers,...and they are awesome at what they do...

I am a professional musician, as well as a online marketer...

I have been playing the saxophone for over 50 years now,...and toured some 20 countries backing the late: Long John Hunter...

A group of blind programers are working on the recording software called "Reaper",...and they have made it accessible for blind users...

This is Huge,...because it allows blind people form all over the world to record their music...

I use reaper to record my music,...This is what is possible when a program is made totally accessible for blind users...

How do you know if you clicked an ad?
There is a setting inside my screen reading software that will read links,...It will either speak the link by name If there some "alt text" that explains the link...

Or,...It will just say,..."Link", or , give a beep if the link is not labelled...

I can scan websites by using the "up" and "down" arrows,...and my screen reader will read the links in succession as I scan the page...

There is a link associated with each ad...Usually...

Now,...I can find the ads, and click on them,...but if I am using a traffic exchange, or reading email from safelists,...and they use the "find the right item", to prove you've read this ad",...does not work for blind users...

OK,...I am working on setting up safelists, and traffic exchanges, so I can broaden my promotions...

I am working on "Referral Frensy",...an awesome website...

As I work my way through the tools on this website,...I am constantly reminded on just how visually orientated the web is...

I can honestly say that 3 out of every 5th websites is not accessible in one way, or another...
So, I just move on to the next one in hopes that the next one will be something I can use,...Extremely Frustrating!, to say the least...

But,...I am determined,...So I will keep on trying to get my goals met...

This is a motivating post for me,when people with two eyes wide open are begging for money everywhere but here a blind member hustling hard. Please site owners should take it upon themselves to make their sited blind friendly to help use the internet as easy as possible. It will help them and help the site owners too.

i agree we don;t care for things unless they are lost , people that have all the wishes in the world don't know what to crave for and are mere themselves only every moment
We all have different paths that we walk,...No matter what the obstacle,...having the determination,...goals,...and being positive in all that we do goes a long way...
Its easy to give up, and take the easy way out,...but having the drive to see things through takes some hard work...

fyi/headsup, @cursebuster is one of my referrals here and he is my top poster of this forum!

hmmm a challenge to all my other 26 referrals who after signing up just never logged into this forum.

I have no idea about the system that how website is accessible for blind users as I need a clear explanation that how it would help blind people for understanding and reply as machine computer reading could benefit a lot.

I navigate the web by use of a software called: "screen reading software".

You can see what a screen reader by typing "narrator" in your Microsoft search,...or by going here: http://serotek.com

The hardest thing for a blind marketer, in my opion, is the fact that blind people do not see any graphics, pics, videos, buttons, sliders, ect...

The only thing that blind people see on the web by use of screen reading software is "Print"!,...That's right,...all of the fancy graphics, and nice pics are all lost to blind users,...unless there is what is called, "alt text".
A simple discription that says what a particular graphic, pic, or any visually based item that needs to be explained...

You can never have enough "alt text", blind web users will thank you...
There's a Microsoft Evangelist who is blind and works with them to develop accessible options... I'll try and find the link

I have seen a lot of people who have been talking about optimisation for people who are physically handicapped but I never really knew that this was how it is. It is quite amazing the way technology has advanced to the extent that people like this can be able to access the internet and get relevant information.

It is very encouraging that you have atleast one method that helps you in getting through the difficult things of life once you understand that you can achieve success even with small hiccups you are ready to go

My 2 cents is that don't just rely on one method if you have a helper hire them pay them some money take some profit and increase your income it will help
