In Nigeria , having a transport business very lucrative.
People while travelling to a long distance within the country normally prefer to use public transportation than private cars .

With the effect of this pandemic , the price for transportation is doubled which means more money for transport companies.
Is transport companies business lucrative in your country?

Transportation business is a lucrative business in my country. Just like you've said that most people tend to travel in public transportation rather than their private cars considering the stress of driving for long. Though some of these transportation companies had challenges when the lockdown was initiated.
Yea but presently they are making it big , as the aim of observing social distancing has increased the transportation fee to two times .

the transport's domain has a lot of subdomains, are you talking about transport such as buses or trains and stuff, or delivering goods to different cities ?

Right now with the spike in Covid-19 numbers in many countries, I'm sure the transportation business is not doing good at all. Let's hope for the best. Together let's fight this pandemic, so we could get back to business.

Transportation business is Nigeria is lucrative. However, one must be the driver himself. Many transport owners have become bankrupt as a result of entrusting their vehicles in the hands of drivers whom they employed. These drivers end up giving various excuses and engaging in diverse sharp practices which aim at diverting funds made to be delivered to their private pockets. There is a lot of dishonesty on the part of the drivers. If one can handle this downside, the business is super lucrative.
This is true , but here I mean having a transportation company like " young shall grow " where there is a full record of the movement of the bus , to and fro .

it's been the same thing here, you can find only few serious drivers that treat the trucks as they are their own and take care of them

It depends but in general most categories of transporting passengers are lucrative. In this pandemic situation most transportation categories for passengers have gone down owing to the fact locally peoples movements have been reduced. The more traffic of people the more money but that's not the case.Probably foof delivery of goods category has boomed.

Maybe not, most people here have their own cars or at least motorcycle, so public transport systems are not that attractive to people here. That's why we have many traffic jam.

There are other ways to tackle this , allow drivers who owns their own personal bus to come and register in your company ( that if you have build a popular brand ) , they will be paying a certain percentage to you .
Secondly , drivers are punished by collecting the vehicle from them , and denying them their monthly stipends when they didn't do well in a month .
Most companies collects they transport fees by themselves and lays the driver at the end of the month. They only give him money for fuel .
When the car spoils , they have their own mechanic workshop , where the driver goes to fix it .

The transport business is also so lucrative in my country. During this pandemic period, the price for transportation has also doubled here, making the people doing transport business earn alot. So it is a great business to do here.

Same in my country because of the social Distancing, transportation is very lucrative if you are able to discover the best fit or aspect to focus on.

why would they pay you a percentage from the profit when they can take everything when working alone ? that's not a solution at all
They will be willing to pay the percentage because the company is a reputable one , and people uses it more than private transport . the vehicle owner considering that he will be opportune to make more money while working under a reputable company , will join the company for that reason .

here in my country, they came up with a solution, but that was only for the transports side, not for the clients, as they have to pay for 2 places instead of one to stay far from each others

most of people don't really care about services and stuff, they only want to travel from the point 1 to the point 2, low price also is a good target

Yes it is a common practice here in Nigeria though the transport company already have it owns cars so people join the company and get their vehicles painted in there brand just to increase patronage while they pay the company certain Percentage as agreed.

Yea with that , no one is cheated as the driver will work hard to meet up with the agreed price , and himself benefits from having better transport services rendered , than when working on his own

Yeap It's profitable in my country. Cause, our country is densely populated. About 18crore plus people lives in this small country. Transfort related business is hugely profitable here.
