as stated in the title , i'm planning to learn about FL studio , as one of my friends told me that he's selling his own made songs , he didn't tell me yet how he's doing that , but he adviced me to learn about fl studio first .

what do you think about that ? is my friend right ? are there any similar softwares where you can make your own music ( instrumental / beats ) with ?
thanks in advance !

I have actually done this.
Produced some tracks and selling them on Dreamstime.com but not doing very well sales wise, it might be the music, it is not studio quality finish but this was just for fun :)

how much did you make from doing that ? :)

So far I only sold 1 song 3 times, maybe $12 in total lol
But not bad for making money from a hobby, could become really lucrative if you take initiative and find more platforms to sell your music.
The competition is immense though so the tracks have to be original in the least.

that's a decent amount , especially if you get it from a hobby :D , maybe i'd give this a try :)
thanks !

How about sell only text for song? Maybe that would be better. Others will add music. Maybe some famous star buy it and than you can earn from commision.

i was always and still a good poets writer , but i'm not sure if those 'famous' singers will choose me as their main writer , also , i had the idea of creating my own music studio , because i really love music so badly :)

guess that option would work better on fiverr where you can sell your song , or poetry , and to achieve some sales you need some reviews on your profile as well

Many people buy reviews for fiver profile so you need to be very careful with it to. Maybe is better choose somebody with higher price than somebody with good reviews.

You would still need to buy something on Fiverr to get a review but I know some sellers are paying people to order from them then give the 5 star review so take caution.
If a seller has only 5 star reviews and lots of them then that could look suspicious.

I feel selling your own songs is very lucrative one, if one can sell a song that has no full studio finishing for about $4 then it worth it. There is room for improvement also.

after taking a look into some youtube vids , i noticed that some people are actually monetizing their own made beats , what surprised me , is that all of their vids got a respectable amount of views ( 1 million+ for each video ) , so what i came across is that , uploading those beats / songs to youtube would generate a better income that selling each song for like 3$

I believe that it is a good way to earn money if your songs are trending. For example, there are lots of talented writers and singers but they are not popular because they are not "up to date". My girl that I met here tries to make her own business but btw it is really time-consuming process.

That's a good idea. In the first you will find difficult to sell your songs for you're not famous. Nobody has known you yet.

That means you have promote your songs. You have to share them to social media. Thus, giving them a free streaming of your songs. When they like them they will buy them.

the sharing in social media part is absolutely great and important step , i've seen many popular singers in my country that started only in facebook and they became popular

I make some change on audiojungle.net. You might want to check them out. I dont put a lot of time in it because they want only Quality music and you can only sell thru them if your song is approved.
I do have a professional studio if you might need to have your music professionally mixed or mastered. This is very important if you want your music to sell. If you want to send me a sample I'll master it for free and you will hear the difference this makes to the listener.
I am currently building a site were people like you can upload and sell your loops, beats, samples, songs ect.

I forgot to ask you if you play an instrument.
i don't , but i'm planning to learn the basics of fl studio to get started , at the end , nothing is impossible to learn / achieve ;) , i'm pretty sure i'll do well with it once i learn the basics , since i'm listening music 24/7

If you are really talented why then will you want to sell your song ? Why not try to publize it perhaps you may become famous .
But if you really want to sell it then I guess you should first of all get market that is buyers .

actually you're being right at some point , but , i never had the idea of being famous and that , i mean , i never wanted to be a famous person anyways , that's just a lot of duties that i don't think i can handle , so selling songs will get me some decent income and i will stay confortable :)
