Linking your bank account to third - party apps is necessary sometimes to receive your international payments. Although these third party apps provide high level of security, still sharing your bank account does have some risks of data leaks and breaches. The risk is more when you start receiving phising emails which will ask for your private details. If one falls prey to such a phising fraud then most of the times your Banks will refuse to take any responsibility for your loss. What are your experiences or views in this regard

I think its safe but we need to see where we are linking our card.
For example, if its a reputed payment processor like PayPal, Payoneer, Perfect Money, Payeer then its safe but if its a new payment processor then I will hesitate a bit and won't update by bank account.

Yes, I can understand that linking your bank account with third party app is indispensable, especially if you have a business with international customers. I can also understand your fears of the risks involved. My advice would be to link your bank account to only those apps that provide high degree of security, and which are legit and extremely trustworthy. Another thing you can do is to maintain a bare minimum amount in this bank account. As soon as you receive payment, transfer that amount into another bank where you don't use netbanking.

Now everything is so developed that your data can be stolen even without third-party applications, so I don't see any reason to hide something about myself, the main thing is to follow basic security rules

I can only link my bank account to trusted sites and third parties. This means giving away personal information and private details. So if you aren't sure, no need to try. You have sites like PayPal that offer the most secure services. If any third party is asking for that, do your research properly.

The greatest vital factor is being careful on what financial websites we reveal our bank accounts and visa cards too. You're left with no option if your interested in making money online as sites like PayPal and Google Pay would require your banking details.

Make sure you are definitely 100% certain that the Application, Program or website is secure and established. So many people nowadays are after your money or information and fall for scams by deception. You have to be cautious on who you give your details to. Be aware of Identity Fraud as well as Theft.

It becomes necessary to give out account number if you must receive money from online payment processors because that is the only medium to which money can be sent, it is your duty not rush in giving out your bank details, you make extensive research and read reviews about the app or the payment processor company you want to give your details to. For instance many don't have second thoughts giving out their details to PayPal due to their good track records so far.

I think wallet system online is lot safer. Here you top up that wallet and it keeps your bank account disconnected. And this way you only spend what is in your wallet. And then that way you if get scammed, that would be relatively low amount. So I'd say that depending on how you handle it, could make the difference there.

It is good to have online wallet no doubt about that but the limitation is that you can only spend online the money you have in the wallet, you can't have cash at hand except you link your account to the wallet.

You may link your account to sites that provide a good protection of your data and they have to prove it, linking your account to secured websites yet they doesn't prove it then you may be at risk, so you should be careful about sharing your informations online.

I think if you wish to spend online wallet is an option. And online payments are more secure that way. I personally don't see much reason with the netbanking in all scenarios. You may need cash then you have ATM card for the same. You can use it in such context. You can mix this with wallet and that also works out.

I'm always sceptical of leaving sensitive information online and more still on a not so secured site because it can be very dangerous. We just need to make a thorough research to be sure the site is safe and secured before adding any sensitive information.

Everything online is very risky and vulnerable to hacking but what matter most is the level of security provided and how updated the site you are dealing with 1s security- wise. Banks have our sensitive information and sometimes they are also face with security threats

If we want smooth transactions of money from Payement processor to bank then we must give information like PayPal, payoneer etc these processors automatically transfer money from bank accounts
Agree. Plus paypal and payoneer are so far safe. I cant trust perfectmoney and skrill. Because those companies are from nations which are known to have scams. Like they can steal your information and make that data accessible for their own gains. In case of paypal and payoneer there is no fear of that so we can trust them.

it depends on what you're attaching your bank to, for example, if you are using it with paypal, then there is no risk at all as that's a big company and it should be trusted

Linking a bank account online is no biggie, as long as you are linking it to a well known payment website you should not have any issues, I have my bank account linked to my PayPal and payooner account and i not experienced any issues with both since I have been using it

yeah it completely is when you are aware enough of your actions, also make sure to disable the dotations, so your credit card can't be blocked unless you activate it

I think there is no problem linking your bank account if they don't ask for your bvn or any private information , that is very important to you and make them hack your account

In some cases it's inevitable to link your bank account online. Simply search for reviews, honest user opinions before linking your bank account.

Linking bank account online should depend on the site or app. To be on a safer side, try and confirm if the site is legit or not. As we all know, every single day new things are being discovered
Sure hackers are now creating new means of defrauding people, so its better to check as you have stated on their social media and other platform to confirm if its safe
