You see, i'm absolutely broke and trying to gather funds to fix my PC but i'm stuck with a turd of a laptop. Help?

Generally the answer is no. But I can't help you further if you don't even list your laptop's specifications here, especially the CPU, RAM and most importantly, the GPU.

Oh, right.
The specs are Intel Pentium CPU T2330 @ 1.60GHz, 1GB RAM and Mobile Intel 965 Express Chipset Family respectively.

Not that i think i'll need it since the answer is no but just in case. :p

Sorry but with that specifications, it's hard to mine anything. If you have some money to spare why don't you try legit cloud mining contract perhaps?

I doubt if the battery capacity can withstand the energy losses , the RAM size is quite small and very likely the graphics card may not be compatible. PC with 8GB RAM, CPU should be Intel Core (quad core 3.5GHz) and Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti + Intel HD Graphics 630 | DDR4, up to 32GB Screen size: 15.6-inch, will be very ok.

I wonder from where some people here get the idea that it's easy to mine crypto with weak laptop/desktop, while in reality it's hard and consume a considerable resources.

I don't think it's profitable. 32 bit It is very low. If you continue to earn in this way, it will take a long time to earn 1000 satsis. And 1000 seven hundred does not mean 1 dollar. It will take a long time to earn
$1. Which doesn't seem profitable to me at all. I have no interest in such income.

your laptop will broke before it even reach a dollar worth of bitcoin. so the answer is simply no
Exactly. Mining is hard, it requires a lot of electricity. People that use their devices to mine bitcoin doesn't know the disadvantages of mining on device. They will completely destroy your device in very short period of time.

Using PC is not advisable for mining bitcoin it is better to use the recommended devices to enable you get results, PC mining are double losses, the PC damages and the time wasted.

Mining bitcoin on your device is not good. Bitcoin mining cost a lot of electricity and will make your device slow or will even destroy your device. If you have some money to spare then you should mining contract on one of the legit cloud mining sites.

Some people even have the money to get the mining rigs if they care to , I guess it is the smaller group of bitcoin enthusiasts that are trying to get bitcoin through PC mining due to lack of funds but honestly cloud mining would be prefer to PC Minning.

I perfectly agree with you friend. A friend of mine tried using his PC to mine bitcoin and he ended up destroying the PC and the bitcoin he mined was not even up to half of the cost of a PC.

Everything online is a business in as much as you will make money from it , so before you engage in such you need to do your research. His PC is gone and the bitcoin earn may not be up to $10, if he had invested in cloud Minning he would have gotten some profits and also had time to do other things.

Yeah, you are very right friend. Even though cloud mining is some times risky because of these scam sites, but it will really be helpful if one can find a legit cloud mining site and start mining with than to use a PC for mining.

To save yourself of the legit cloud Minning sites just try the old mining sites with reasonable amount of money like $100 and your are good to go.

I am almost very certain you knew the answer to the question before you asked. I would suggest you explore some other means until you are able to fix your PC.

Yeah, l think you are very right about this. Now it seems almost all the new sites doing cloud mining are always scam and the better way as you already said is just trying to mine with the old and trusted ones.

Stay glue with legitmate sites even if there interest rate is very low but you are sure of getting your capital and little profit in a very short time than the scam sites.

so can you help pointing in the right direction? as to which mining site or cloud mining site that is known and or reliable?
