Hodling or staking tokens are the trend these days. But I'm concerned of their stability because there are many in the market, especially new tokens launched recently.

Some will be around for few months and they just disappear.

Please share your thoughts, friends.

I once participated in an Airdrop for CCRB which was eventually launched bit I forgot to convert or Exchange my token after like six months I tried accessing the site but not longer accessible
Ah ok, there what happened is that the currency did not work and they did not keep giving the tokens, that's why I prefer to change them when they are released and use the money in other projects, which although in most cases it is almost nothing, just pennies, from airdrop to airdrop, we fill the bag, hahahaha

Yes you can.
The idea of the airdrop is to publicize your project.
Therefore, all the tokens you have can be changed when the airdrop releases their token. Generally it is made as ERC-20 and therefore you must have a wallet that can recover these types of coins.
I suggest trust wallet to store erc20 tokens or maybe imtoken as well. Nowadays most of the airdrop tokens are just worth some cents ,ya the idea is to make the coin/token familiar to the community.

There are many wallets that can hold your erc-20 tokens, there is also MEW (MyEtherWallet), used to withdraw PRE from Presearch. The ones you mentioned are excellent.

Hodl is a big risk for strong minded traders that believe so much in what project they invest in. I tried it many times I got burnt instead, rule of thumb, hodl only what you can lose.

profiting from hodling really depends on which coin you are hodling and luck, as you cannot always predict what coin will go up

I have tried a whole lot of airdrops. Honestly, really tired. Lol. Even tried one yesterday. They asked me for transaction fee. But nah, I am never sending. lol. To the topic, I think it is worthwhile trading unless you plan to invest a huge sum so the yield pays well to.
Yeah this year 2020 has not been a year for airdrops. I didn't earn even $10 this year from airdrops and bounties. Let's hope sone good airdrops come in future like 2019

Really? I did not even know about airdrops until this year. Becoming increasingly difficult to get at least one that is legit. Just one.
some of the legit ones usually requires KYC, and have a clear roadmap and dedicated website to show to their users their project

Yeah i suggest you to follow airdropalert or airdrop.io websites to get a picture of legitimate airdrops. My highest earning from airdrop was (NRG crypto airdrop) which required simple kyc and a questionnaire. This was concluded in 2019 though.

Yeah holding small amounts like <$10 doesn't bring any significant profit. The amount should be very huge to earn atleast some money.

In my own opinion, once the price rise up for you to make profit you can sell them because hodling will not earn you interest in your fund.ETH , Bitcoin and BNB are good for long term investment.

Holding tokens is profitable if you are lucky and you choose the right coin. I only hold tokens for short term and sell them when the price is good for me but I normally leave some for the future so I may not regret in case the price skyrocket.

It depends on what tokens you want to hold.
Most tokens are a waste of money and time. But sometimes (extremely rarely) you can find a diamond.

It would be much easier if you could share a few examples of the tokens you are talking about, so we can all together look at the issue, and maybe somebody has a better insight and you will get a more precise and beneficial answer ?
I know that many tokens disappear but there is no need to lose hope, if you get them for free anyways during the airdrop you are not losing anything.

KICK tokens is an example. During the pre-launch, they gave false assurance that we can exchange the tokens for any other currencies. Share the news with your friends and get more referrals. This was the only condition.

Now the story is different, we need to bring in more referrals to exchange the KICK tokens in my account. I already have 11 referrals now they need another 9 more. When I complete this mission, they would say they need more.

I think yes! You can think of it as if it were gold or a piece of land. Ten years ago these were obviously priced lower. It could be a good way of storing your income because if you were to keep the money as it is, it would lose value due to inflation. But, if you had bought an asset with it like BTC/ETH, a piece of land or gold it would have gone up w the inflation too! This of course is for the long term. Anyway, just some news to boost you hodlers out there! Mass adoption of blockahin technology is near.

With the way new tokens are springing up daily,I doubt if they can retain their value for a long time. However,we can still come across tokens with good potentials to increase in value.

There are lots of ico released on markets
If you search on bitcointalk there are lots of people publishing airdrops project.
But most of them scams at the end
Holding tokens is also like that
They seems like profitable but later,
They become scammers

I'm not an expert , but I've seen the trust wallet token ( twt) skyrocket in the price , it used to be just 0.01$ and now it's almost 0.08$ and I think it will reach 0.1$ or even more
So I guess it's a good idea to hold your tokens
