for me, the answer is yes, because not everyone can speak a lot of languages and there are some decent offers in upwork for that, do you think it's worth giving a try?

I speak English , Arabic and French ( my French isn't that good though )
Can I work as a freelancer ?
I mean are there people who want to translate from and to Arabic ?!

It is a yes for me too. It is a very good skill that one can use for freelancing. Very few people are able to learn and master different languages and so they will need a translator. You will get good market when you advertise this skill in freelancing sites.

Depends on your language skills. Though some freelancing platforms are now oversaturated with translation gigs (like Fiverr) it's hard to break through.

Yea. I have seen huge payment proof in one site I work on called forum coin .
A user shared the amount he earned from being a translator , it was indeed enticing .
If you are good in any language , try it , it Worth it

I can speak french, english, arabic and german, so i guess i can find huge offers for me if i try, but the issue is that i will be in need of feedbacks, i hope i can get it!

Yeah, I saw that payment proof in forum coin too. It is so inspiring that you can learn different languages as a hobby then just get a translation job that pays you so well. It is however not going to be a regular source of income, it can be a once in a while kind of earning.

Like one previous panelist eluded, the thing is that probably if you go to places where you can create a course or create an online class it could be lucrative.Otherwise generally a lot of these free sites
,they put you on a waiting list for a very long time. It's like the whole market is saturated before they could accept for you too be doing tasks.

For the Advent translation applications online, the translation niche is not as lucrative as it used to be. People prefer to download apps that will freely translate for them.

Freelancers as translators does not worth it because most people that post the translating jobs does so for putting up sake on those sites but does not really emply a translator to the the job

i don't think so, you can still translate a lot of pages and get paid for the number of the words you translated, as online translators sometimes can't give an accurate translation since they don't understand the context .

I don't think that is right, it is worth it. When you advertise this skill, you can actually get translation jobs. You can translate pages or voice translation. I have seen several payment proofs in different platforms that show that it is actually a job that pays. It might not pay regularly but people get jobs.

Translators get a decent amount based on their skill, but based on the rate the world is being digital based, a skill as a translator will not be of much value in the near future, it is good about now. But not for long.
The only thing that can affect translator in the near future is Artificial Intelligence. Outside it , people will always be in demand for good translators . the world has many languages , and thus needs people to help in translating some of them .

Wow that's very cool . which kind of feedback do you really need ? The site where you can work as a translator ? OR someone to back you up ?

In any platform i'm willing to work in overall, without feedback, i believe your ranking will be low and people wont bother hiring you

I believe so too. Artificial intelligence will someday take over many things including translation. There will be no need for translators as the machines can do the work. People will be learning languages just for fun and one on one communication.

It is worth it if you are ready to put in the work, you can get as many jobs as possible so as to increase you earnings and you can also get jobs with high pay rates from some freelance sites, though not all. The more the good reviews you have from previous jobs and as you ranking increases, the more money you will charge for your jobs

It will be even more lucrative if you can translate special documents like medical or law papers. Compared to general translator, specialized translators like there are more rare, thus the competition is less fierce.

It's well worth it if you can get the gigs. I did Linguistics at university and went on to work as a translator for over 5 years. I get a few translation orders via Fiverr and sometimes offline. However, my pairing (English and my native language, Setswana) aren't in demand, so work is very up and down. If you have English paired with French, Spanish, Arabic, German, Chinese (both Mandarin and Cantonese) and Italian you probably stand a good chance of raking it in. I'm always searching for freelance translation platforms and I've observed these are the most popular pairings. Mine not so much.

Yeah worth it, if you know Chinese,German or french language..
I was in the fiverr, I saw these language was too much valuable for the subtitle making and other stuff.
