In recent years crypto currencies price goes so high and now much more people than before 2017 know what is crypto and many from them stepped in the crypto trading industry, but before you want to invest must know that are you Investing money to get good return or just Gambling.

I mean are you Investing your money in a good crypto or not?

In simple, before investment on a crypto research about it and it's background and future development of project. If there is a crypto with no good project then, no body will develop it and it will backed by nothing So you just invested in a gamble coin.

For example - Bitcoin, Ethereum and Binance have future scope and backed by strong projects and in other hand coins like Doge, Akita inu, Kishu Inu and Shiba inu( an exception: -started as meme but now have some good project) are just meme tokens, and don't have any strong support just pump and dump by hype.

Yeah, for this reason, I prefer to keep around 5% on meme coin in the portfolio. Who knows, one big pump will bring you a high return.
Yeah , i think shiba inu now has still some hype around it compared to dogecoin now that is being ignored now and the hype around it is dying down and being transferred to new memecoins

When it comes to cryptocurrency, we really don't know when certain coins will pump or dump. I remember when dogecoin was around $0.007 last year around this time. I bought about 40k dogecoin, I then asked for advice from someone about doge but I was told it was a shit coin. Until today I regret selling those coins since doge has now increased in value. So according to me every coin may surprise you, I haven't given up on dogecoin as I started collecting it again.

I think, one day Elon will make a tweet about the Shiba inu, then all his followers will make a hype around the market. that's how the dogecoin's hype was created.

Yes for some reason it is.. When it comes to trading lots of people without proper knowledge has ending up with loss, so there is risk in trading so

Well yeah , though there were some hints that dogecoin would rise back then due to the hype that people were building for dogecoin from tiktok to elon musks to the hedgefunds

I guess we can call trading a gamble but when people buy to hodl its a investment. Not everything that has a risk is a gamble.. but it sort of is
Crypto trading is never fit to be considered gambling as there are a lot of people earninng from it, unlike gambling where only a few win. Crypto trading also allows one to decide when to take profits or to sell in a loss.

Many people also earn from gambling and many people lose money on trading too.. they are similar.. a game of chances. Everything that you bet something with uncertainty can be considered a gamble

The difference between investing and gambling is researching where you put your money. I think there are few coins even alt coins that are investment while the majority of crypto is gambling or even worse ponzi

Crypto Currency trading is not done with uncertainty as any serious trader must understand technical analysis, crypto chart interpretation, nature of the candle wicks which would enable them to know what would happen to a coin.

Are they always right thought? I don't think so.. all they can do analyse and guess what's gonna happen next.. that's why there's a lot of predictions.. doesn't mean they're always right

But it involves more of critical thinking and personal research to succeed, unlike gambling where people only predict without any reason as to why they feel something is going to happen .

So i just googled and it says if you're buying Cryptocurrency to get money overnight (which is basically what trading is) then it falls of in gambling category. Unless people buy Cryptocurrency for the purpose of holding and believing on its future as a currency

So basically if you just take your time and Google the definition of gambling it will make.sense.. gambling is not just unthoughtful risk taking.. everything that involves putting a valuable thing on the line with the purpose of.making more is considered gambling. Doesn't matter what that thing is.. even people's life on the line it will be called a gamble still.

I respect day traders who claim to be making a living out of day trading. I really don't know how they do it as the market is really unpredictable. Look now we are on a bare market

People do not just expect to make money overnight from crypto currency trading like you said, there are actually those who do that, but I assure you that they don't make any significant profits. Real traders trade based on the technical analysis, chart interpretation and so many factors. Not just because they want to make money overnight.

This is very good advice given on this thread. Indeed investing in meme coins that have no strong foundation or future projects is gambling. You will only be depending on the movers for price change and that is not great.

So can one say that shit coins basically is gambling since shiba inu, kishu inu are classified as gambling and can we also say scrapping is gambling?

Different people have different prespective on crypto. The main fact is that what you think. If you think crypto is a investment so it is an investment, if you think crypto as gambling then it's gambling. You said that btc, eth, binance are investment and doge, shiba inu, akita inu are gambling because they don't have any certain project. But I think that btc and shiba inu both have the same concept. People invest in them and it goes up or down.
