When it comes to Bitcoin mining, one of the major things that have to be noted and accounted for in any mining rig, is the fact that these mining rigs require and use a lot of energy. As a result, it is necessary that the energy grid be well managed and sustained in order to have an effect crypto mining operation. However, recently there have been many that have accounted the power outages in Texas to the fact that there is a lot of mining of crypto that takes place, but a minign consultant is denying such claims stating that the equipment for minign in Texas does not have a major impact on the power grid.

I gather from the report that it is more of speculations than actual fact. I am almost certain that if mining is impacting the grid so much thereby causing blackouts there would have been sanctions to stem that in such a sane environment.

Yes this is definitely speculation, however it is just a thought process to show the effect of mining and what it can have. Afterall there are quite a bit of resources needed to operate a mining farm.

I agree. It has been widely confirmed that mining consumes so much energy and everyone knows that is really bad for the ecosystem and its inhabitants.

I think it is possible that bitcoin mining rigs could overload power riggs especially when you have so many of them in a single grid

It depends but am sure that in Texas the government have records on miners and it have been said that it was too much snow that caused power outrage

I think that this will be called into question in the near future as there are many countries that are already looking into the strain that it is putting on the current electricity grid and their resources. Perhaps a move to renewable energy for all mining rigs would be a good idea.

Mining bitcoin is still a really profitable business especially in countries where electricity is cheap. I think companies should charge more to people who mines or set some kind of limiter to grid lines to limit the power being given to avoid blackouts and grid strains

Yeah this is true all mining rig should be done with renewable energy , like for instance using sola energy to power up the mining rig ,because that would be the best thing

Some factors have to be considered before transforming power to a mining rig because it would require a lot of fund and expertise to build such a thing.

I agree with you. Solar energy would allow the mining rig to be in operation and will benefit the environment. So in essence you are seeing economic and environmental gains for the regions employing this type of operation.

Yeah if solar energy is been used it would prevent those bad smokes and emissions that affect both living things and non living things i think

To a large extent there are considerations that also need to be considered outside of the emissions, because fossil fuels are depleting way too fast and in teh next 200 years they could disappear altogether.

Its a one time payment ,so it wont cost much unlike use of electricity that is a recurrent expenditure and you have to keep paying the bills

This is true. Depending on the renewable system that is chosen it can be self sustaining however it is very important that one is chosen in relaiton to the area you are in.

I believe that the use of solar energy would be self sustaining and many people could make use of it to do their mining activities ,if the idea is been made use of

Its possible there was news in the back about Indian students using free electricity of hostel in China to do mining later were fined and removed ,

Seriously i never heard such thing happened. , i guess those student were bold to have tried such thing ,i wonder how they were caught doing mining

i read the article long ago , i read that they used this within 3pm-7pm timings when theere was much peak time , but the power disturbances made the staff alert and they were finally treated how they should had been , tempratures of the rooms went 50'c in winter lol + which alerted the system as well

If I was in their position I would have too tried that lol, But I guess they went too far and used tons of electricity that made things fishy as to why there is large consumption
