Is AI making humans Lazy?

i believe AI technology has made some tasks more convenient and efficient, but it has not necessarily made people lazy. In fact, AI has actually created new job opportunities in fields such as data science, engineering, and programming.

AI is super helpful, but I think we need to be careful. If we let it do everything for us, we might forget how to think for ourselves. It's like using a calculator all the time and then struggling with basic math.

Although AI-powered tools are becoming more commonplace, I don't think we've fully succumbed to over-reliance on them. But I do worry that if this trend continues, it could hinder the development of essential life skills, such as independent problem-solving and creative thinking.

AI is super helpful and saves us time, but we don't want to become couch potatoes either. I think it's about finding the right balance. We should use AI when it makes sense, but also make sure we're staying active and engaged. Otherwise, we might end up losing important skills.

In case that the AI is replacing you this means that you are a lazy person, but if AI give you big lines and you redact by your own ideas add to those purposed by AI this is not applicable, ask post owner question and past ai tool response is laziness and should not be rewarded.

I agree, AI has made a lot of tasks more convenient. But I don't think it's making people lazy. In fact, it's creating new job opportunities in fields like data science and programming. We just need to make sure we use AI in a good way, that's all.

no, I don't think so, I think what it does is it makes us more productive in our day to day lives, let me give you an analogy for example when cars were created, will those people riding horses say those buying cars are lazy? I don't think so they are just more efficient.

If you are a software engineer with AI,you get to code faster and ship more important stuffs to the world, instead doing it from scratch.

While AI has the potential to make humans appear lazy by automating tasks and providing readily available solutions, the reality is more complex; it depends on how people choose to use it; if individuals rely excessively on AI without engaging their critical thinking skills, it can lead to a perception of laziness, but AI can also be a tool for enhancing productivity and freeing up time for more complex tasks when used responsibly.

Personally I'll say Artificial intelligence has helped me in my work as it has reduced the time I spend doing content creation. It doesn't make me lazy as I channel the time saved to other productive ventures. It's of great benefit to me
Very good to know, artificial intelligence is truly a game changer and a life saver, in the sense that it has helped you maximize your time to the fullest, that is why they can't just be ignored like that.

We could answer yes and no. Because the truth is it depends. It depends on the kind of use. I give the example of the online translators.

1)Example n.1: John Doe needs (or wants) to publish a bilingual text and he completely relies on the AI translator. He publishes his job without any question
2)Example n.2: Jerry Doe also needs (or wants) to publish a bilingual text. Unlike his brother John, he only wants to accelerate his tasks (to get the time for new publication, so to earn more). He uses AI translators also, but he doesn't want to publish a translation full of mistakes, so he checks the translation, corrects the blunders the AI returned to him and he publishes the text only when he is sure it's perfect

So here we have a lazy John Doe cause the AI translator (unless it's a case where John doesn't know a single word of the translation language) and an efficient Jerry Doe using the same AI.

sure AI has the potential to significantly increase productivity and efficiency in the workplace, freeing up time for more important tasks or allowing individuals to take on more work. As long as it's being used appropriately and ethically, AI can be a valuable tool for professionals in various industries.

The key here, perhaps, is that technology's benefit really does come down to how we choose to use it. Another solution might be to promote a balanced approach to technology, especially in the younger generation. Helping this generation to see AI and other advancements as tools that enhance the capacity of creativity, not replace it, would help continue curiosity and critical thinking. We can avoid over-dependency by setting boundaries-for example, time for no technology, or activities that necessitate face-to-face interactions-so we are able to enjoy all the benefits of technology without losing our mental and emotional integrity.
You have raised a very valid point and thought of a solution that is all about balancing. Also, I would add up that not only how to use it judiciously, the important point to consider would be who should use it? I personally feel it very strongly that young children upto the age of 10_12 years should stay away from gadgets and technology as much as possible. We already are witnessing the negative impacts on the health and development with over use of gadgets. AI might make it worse intervening with the overall development including the cognitive and creative development in a young child. But then like parents are struggling to keep mobile phone away, they will soon struggle with this new technology and how to keep it away
