Just imagine losing millions of dollars worth of cash in the brink of an eye! How would you feel?? Well, the same scenario happened to an Irish man who wrote the private keys of his bitcoin wallet in a piece of A4 paper, that was stored in a fishing rod case. He bought thousands of bitcoins when it's value was under $5. So when police found that he was involved in drugs, they arrested him and later took all his possessions and burned them down including the fishing rod case containing the bitcoin keys. Now there is absolutely no way of recovering those bitcoin keys as it's lost forever.

He's a drug dealer man. That amount of money is nothing for him, though he now locked up behind bar in prison. Anyway, I wonder if someday we will be able to somehow recover those lost bitcoins with a special algorithm.

I think what happened to me is right. Because he was a drug dealer and they deserve this only. Forget about bitcoins , he is doing wrong things , he needs to be punished.

these criminals drug dealers / scammers etc.... and satan family they all need to go to hell
they should never existed in the first place , all they do is make good people suffer
it a good thing they put this freak away

Will I said he paid for it in a hard way. This is why one should always stick to only things that are legal to avoid heavy and unnecessary punishment at the end of the day others might just learn from this.

It is possible he earned the money through drugs so loosing it and loosing his personality is the price he is paying however, it is advisable to write your private keys in different places and forms such that you can always access your wallet anytime one source can't be reached you will try others.

I can't sympathize with a drug dealer that lost such amount of money. He most definitely got that money illegally by selling drugs and putting someone's life at risk. He should be serving time in prison and not mourning his lose.

Hey guys here is a question , do you truly believe the story of criminal who make money doing the worst crimes simply forget where they hide their filthy wealth
after some thinking # something reeks about this story

It could be a reality , imaginative or fabricated story to hear people's view but drug dealers are mostly drug addict and they think upside down.

Yeah bitcoin is going down because of this pandemic
but I guess he will just keep his bitcoin and not utrn it to cash
bitcoin will go up for sure it just a matter of time
when this pandemic ends

Currently $7500, I don't think the price is going down badly, I can't buy Bitcoin for the purpose of holding now but when it is at $5000 would be great to deal on.

When earn unique very sad over the Bitcoin that was lost it could happen circulated in to the public system would you find the police could have kept at what is the burning was complete waste

perfect example of how bitcoin would go out of circulation and will make the whole circulating supply lower and at the same time will also affect the bitcoin price to go up

I think he should have kept several copies of those addresses in a file on his computer or download the code to a link on the Internet and this would make him able to retrieve his bitcoin in case of loss

Good advice. Though, the one who loses his money this time was a drug dealer so let him suffer just like the suffering he caused to young people who got addicted to drug he's peddling.

I think at the time he thought that it was not that safe to hide the code in his computer at it is like 2013? 2012? year , where during the time bitcoin was only a couple of dollars worth and lots of people during that time are always in fear of getting hacked

He should write the code on several places, like in his phone, his computer, in his safe box written on a piece of paper or simply use third-party password manager to manage all of his passwords and keys.

Very sad thats a lot of money
Anyway it legit or not??
Why he loss her hitcoin that 50 million is very lot of money and why he di'dnt withdraw it?

He can't withdraw those coins. He lost the piece of paper on which he had written the password on. And no, it's not legit earning since he's a drug dealer.

He can't easily withdraw it , because at his time there were barely any bitcoin to fiat exchange and if he were to exchange all it would be flagged by most exchanges and wallets i think

If I remember correctly, there's this little-known exchanger in the darknet that serves such purpose. Cybercriminals and hackers were pretty quick to adopt bitcoin as a mean of payment, so they have their own exchanger in the darknet that handle thousands of transaction in the darknet.
