I have recently come up with a product page, which also had integrated forum in it. There were many questions asked by the customer and site admin had actively answered to all the question. The website also have live chat support for any queries.

Do you think it will make any benefit having forum along with live chat support? As most of the queries will be solved by live chats immediately.
 
Generally if you have a live chat then it is a very good idea and i think that it will be very helpful as well because this way if people have any concerns they can immedaitely get help on this and this will make the business more apprachable as well however you have to make sure that you always have someone that is watching the chat line.

But it is not just about having a live chat but you should have someone that would man it for all working hours and a bot that would give support at non working hours.

This is one of the most important aspect of running an eCommerce website with a chat support. many customers may get annoyed when they find no one in the chat support. This may also make people suspicious about your website.
 
yes no doubt if your customers are not able to get an answer via the support service in a quick time then they can go for the option of checking out the forum and can ask questions there , it is always good to provide many options I'd customers support for your customers actually .

There is nothing that can off be from an e commerce site than when I desperately need help on live chat support and there is no support staff. It is understandable to have working hours within which you can get live support. But the bad one is the one that you never get any kind of support at all probably because the company has not employed someone to offer support on live chat.

Well, we must understand that offering a 24 hour support is essential in case of live chat support. Under such kind of circumstances, businesses could hire two agents for their eCommerce site in case if they integrate a chat support. One agent could work in the day time and the other agent could work at the night time. Offering a 24 hour support may increase trustworthiness a lot.
