❕NEWS Indian government bans 47 more apps

A month ago the Indian government had banned no less than 59 apps by Chinese developers, now the country's Ministry of Electronics and IT has decided to ban 47 more apps that facilitate access to the previously 59 banned apps. Some of these apps were the clone version of the previously banned apps like Cam Scanner Advance, which is the customized lite version of Cam Scanner that got banned in last June. Currently the government of India is still reviewing additional 275 Chinese apps that they may ban in the near future.

I am surprise at the way India are banning the China app , I think they are trying to create their own manufacturers and market and thereby create more employment for their citizens

I think many countries should apply this too. There are so many apps below standard all over the place now. Some claim to do one thing and on downloading such, it is unable to. If possible there should be a way to measure or put in check those making inferior apps.

Yeah some app are below the standard and not only that they are also selling people's private data ,so banning it might not be a new thing for me as well

Correct I think thats the best the value of their currency might also increase if they value their local produced than foreign ones that's just it

the only loser in this war are the developpers, they literally belong to no organization, yet they are losing a huge part from their userbase (since indian population is huge)

Its not only the developers that will lose but the country the apps are been produced from, because those money earned from the app contributes to their economy and employment benefits

Most Chinese apps have been accused of being used to spy on both government and citizens of other countries. I don't know if that's part of the reason why these apps are being banned but I don't think China will keep calm about this, they'll surely retaliate. This might affect the progress of Indian owned businesses in China.
I guess those India's in China might have to relocate to their country and continue their business and China have nothing to retaliate since they have their own google ,facebook and other's

that would be true only if the app developpers are paying taxes and fees for every income they are receiving from the apps, otherwise not, they bring nothing to their countries economy

They still contribute to the country economy in form of foreign currency inflow because when they exchange those currency to their own local currency ,then that adds value to their local currency and help the country economy

Wow this is a nice move by Indian government. I bet by now Chinese government will be furious with them , but that's their business . I strongly support india and I hope my country can do the same .

There's not that many Indian businesses in China, so they won't get affected that much.

Every companies and organizations in China are under strict surveillance by the Chinese communist party.

I think that most of the developers in China belongs or under the control of Chinese government.
It is through their apps that the government monitors other country's information.

its kinda weird ,coz all lost money , all earnings from this . in case just to be safe maybe , i dont see reason to do it.

This is very bad? of them,I don't if the government monitors other country information, all I know is that the some of the China app which was banned by India like tiktok was used for illegal activities qnd was not inline with their laws and others

Going through this post again , I just saw that cam scanner which I still have in my phone is one the app banned earlier .
Have to delete now .
I think we need to be careful henceforth with Chinese apps.

they didn't lose money, they are just going to have it reduce because a lot of indians won't be able to download those apps, otherwise, less earnings for the devs

I think apart from losing from Indian users , other countries user after seeing that Indians banned this apps may decide to avoid using the apps as well .
