@WRITER No wonder buyers ask revisions, I myself bought couple articles from iWriter and they are low quality, piece of shit, not joke here.

That Listverse is new to me. It looks interesting and quite amusing with that new knowledge that I'm sure I will enjoy posting. I just hope that approval of new members is not difficult like other writing sites that require testing of submissions. Anyway, I will check Listverse now. Thanks for the info.

I once heard about a site called Listverse on one of the popular forums out there. I gathered their requirements in an article is high and your English should be thorough, concise, striking. Normally they require standard articles written to their specifications and up to expected levels. I heard they pay very well for approved jobs, up to a hundred dollar per article.

I have checked Listverse and I had made an outline of an article. But before I started writing the details, I realized the magnitude of work. The minimum length is 1,800 words which is a big investment. It would be a heartbreak to me if that big work is rejected. Maybe I can endure a rejection of a 500-word article but a large article that is rejected is frustrating.

I've tried Listverse and Iwriter and the experience wasn't so appealing. Listverse rejected six of my articles and I quit. I've made a couple of dollars on Iwriter but my account keeps getting banned. I don't copy content from other sources but they always claim that Copyscape found copied content in my articles. I'm still struggling with the site though, despite being banned and many revisions, it's reliable.

My account was banned too but that was one very low rating out of almost 9 good ones. Can you tell me how do you get back on the site after the ban?

Iwriter never paid my $8 despite approving many of my articles.

That's a pretty comprehensive list there by @WRITER and I've no more to add, but what I will say is that I've also tried a few of the sites listed and found it hard work to make any money from them. More and more these days people that want articles written are asking way to much for the price they are willing to pay, and I've written articles in the past for various sites and blogs but dealt direct with the owner of the site and that may be something to think about.

I've written 500 word articles for $5 and while that may seem low, they are happy with the service as I am dealing direct with them so they are repeat customers and so will commission me to write 50 articles over a set timescale and pay half upfront once they get to know you so it does then seem more than worthwhile. Going through iWriter for example they are dealing with just another faceless person looking for work, so they will try and squeeze the most they can out of you just because they can, and spread what they need around various different writers so you'll get 2 gigs if your lucky out of the 50 you apply for.

For who or what site are you writing those articles to @pwarbi? I've written a few articles, but some pay under $5 for the 500 words, and others don't give me permanent articles to do, so it would be great to steal you some work haha. :p

In the beginning I used to use sites like Fiver but as I got more experienced and got to know some of the site owners I now write for them directly. They commission me to write a certain amount of articles over a certain amount of time and they pay me half upfront, half on completion to my Paypal account.

Not only does it cut out the middleman who usually take commission, doing it this way also means that you build up a personal relationship with the client and they know that they can trust you to write the way they like. You know that they are going to pay so it works out a lot better. The trouble is that you have to write articles on iWriter or Fiverr in the first place in order to build up your reputation and that can take some time.

Yeah, I am writing for a couple of forum owners I manage to establish a relation with, I am guessing that's how it goes, we need to establish connections and present quality work, as there are a thousand guys (and gals) out there trying to do the same thing. Like my former boss used to say, there are 30 guys wanting to get your job, lol.

What's up with your profile picture @Terry?
