They say that if Bitcoin is of Gold then Ether is of Tungsten, they stated Ether will not be a worthy assets for those who are planning to invest on it and is not as reliable as bitcoin. They also followed up that most ether traders are just taking profit from ethers price fluctuations as ether don't have the ability to have a high storage value

well ethereum 2.0 is around the corner, and alot of analysts are speculating that ether will grow when ethereum 2.0 comes out around late this year

it's like an upgrade in the ethereum network, ethereum classic is an old coin forked from the ethereum, ethereum 2.0 on the other hand is the same as ethereum, they said that all ethereum will be upgraded to eth 2.0 when mainnet upgrade takes place

Probably the popularity is just growing , because it seems people Still believe the conversion and investment percentage growth is more with ethereum since it's cheap
