Hi everyone,
I want to start mining with my pc, I can buy one of these cards at the moment: RX 400 and 500 series, 1060, 1660, or any other GPU with the same price.
currently, 1660s and 2060 are a little expensive here but if they worth I may buy them as well.
can I mine from pc with just a single GPU? which GPUs you recommend?
and there is one more thing, I don't want to use gpu 24/7 for mining! I want to use it for other uses like my designing works and gaming too, so I don't want to put the GPU under full stress, what I have in mind is to set it to the max of 75-80 percent of its power so that GPU would be safe and out of risks! and I can do all my works done + mining (however at a smaller rate) is this possible to do and is it profitable? if the answer is yes how should it be done?

I don't know much about mining but I heard it's no more profitable nowadays minning with PC. And also I heard you can't actually profit from using single GPU.

if you are planning to mine on a setup with a single GPU, then i wouldn't recommend you doing that, since the electricity costs will steal what you are mining daily with that single GPU

thank you all,
currently, I want to start with a 5700 card, as far as I've checked the profits/expenses it's quite profitable at least all calculations say it is. the tests and miners mention the profit of 7 to 9 dollars per day for this card. considering the card has low power consumption, even if the profit would be 4-5 dollars per day, I think it worths, so I think this card is a good choice to start with, and if it goes well I will buy the second 5700 and a better psu, I will develop the mining process as far as I see the good results. what do think?

Mining isn't that much profitable nowday as it was years ago. Even if you think about buying a pc for that you should consider investing directly in bitcoins

Mining using a personal computer is not really recommended anymore. You might lose more than the money you will earn..

First of all what do you intend to start mining on your pc? I would suggest you start mining pi or bee with your PC it is much more better compared to using your phone to mining. A friend of mine is currently doing that.

I think mining with PC isnt profitable and could even damage your system ,although you could make use of one gpu , but i would still recommend you to make use of mining rig

It is better to mine with a different computer entirely in order to avoid crack down or system malfunction do to heavy power consumption. Do you have the resources to set up the mining.

I think instead of even using computer there are mining rig her could make use of and mine successfully , because i have witnessed so many computer been spoilt due to high rate mining

im also mining Etherium with my gaming PC , and im very happy getting 4/5$ evry day with 1080ti
So with electricity and hardware costs you earn about 125€ a month !
Aren't you overreacting a little ?
Since it's a game computer, it has cost at least 2500€.
So you have to do at least 2 years 24/24 mining @ 4/5$ a day to buy a new computer becouse the old game computer have been extremely damaged by the mining software .
Did you also consider the monthly Internet expenses in the calculation ? (Here in my country I pay about 30€ a month to get a full Internet connection!)
No Internet, no mining !
PS: The excuse you already have the Internet or the computer is not legit .
You must charge these expenses in the final amount to know your real gain .

I do mine pi on my PC and I really love how it works unlike me using phone but I think this mining stuff is kind of expensive
PI, what kind of cryptocorrency is that?
Which wallet accepts PI ?
Which exchange or other way can you sell your mined PI ?
What can you do with PI outside of destruction of your PC and consumption of a lot of internet connection bandwidth, electricity through the mining process ?

You don't like your PC, except you intend to discard the PC as time goes on,I will suggest you get a desktop for the mining process, this will cover all kind of stress and problem that will result from the GPU.

I have a desktop, portable PC, multiple raspberry pi and a 5000W ant-miner.
Already tried many types of mining and can say with certainty that here where I live (high electricity, internet bill's), the Ant-miner is the only one that makes a profit.
Everything else is just in comparison to the expense of energy, connectivity and damage of material, a good way to learn how to do mining without paying a lot of money for buying a real mining rig + free solar, wind or other free energy supply system.

Currently I am working on a project that when finished I can run a 1200W/1000W Asic Ethereum Miner for free.
I already have a wind turbine 1500W max. and waiting for the solar panels to arrive with 1400W max power.
Only still have to find and buy the batteries for the project.

Wow,this is massive,I will really love if we can communicate privately,I have the resources to pull this off but don't know we're to start, lastly how much do you intend to target for a month.

No idea at the moment. This is the first time I experiment with green energy . Currently I am already at +-1000€ expenses for the energy system and still have to buy the 12v batteries. Only half have arrived (turbine, hybride controller, electricity cable, turbine pole). Delivery times are incredibly long these days. I hope to have everything this month so I can install it and run the necessary tests to see if it can provide enough energy to run a miner. I also already have an Eaton Ellipse ECO 1600 UPS. Maybe I can use that too.
