Hello boys and girls.I kind of need your help,since i am kind of a newb in this internet money stuff.

So basicly i want to create a movie streaming website.But not a scam one,full of viruses and ads everywhere.
I have access to all the new movies in HD(pirate,i know,dont even start).I want to create something simple with just categories at the top and movies at the bottom,when you choose the movie a video player pop up and the movie starts.Thats it.I will think later for monetization i just want to build something nice first.

1.Can i use wordpress for this kind of website?
2.If i can use wordpress,can you recommend me some nice,simple and easy to navigate theme?
3.If i cant use wordpress what other platform i can use,since i am not good at html,css,JS,etc. i doubt that i can create website from a scratch.
4.If you have any tips or advice i will be happy to hear it.

And if you think that i will have legal issues for the copyrights of the movies,dont worry about that,no one cares for this kind of stuff in my country,and the site will be on my language only,i will not promote it for other countries.

I doubt you will find a nice free theme, did a quick search and found this one but is not that great, still can do the job until you afford a premium one that goes for $50.

you will not have problems with copyright if you don't host the actual movies on your site
you will need a lot of resources and you will face copyright problems if you host the movies on your site
in terms of monetization, this is tough, you will have to put 2-3 popup ad networks and cpa offers to make decent money when traffic is at least 1000 visitors per day.

The downside of starting such a project is the time that requires to manually post descriptions and original review, content optimized for search engines and backlinks to rank, will take 4-6 months to see some traffic and 1-1.5 years to earn decent cash from it, like $200 per month.

It is possible, I had friends working in this space and they were doing fine. You can do it as well, patience and work.

Hey,thanks for the fast answer,it is really helpful.
I can afford a premium theme,50$ its not that much,but i think i will try the free theme first just to get to know the basic of the things.
I am aware that this kind of project will need alot of time and wont be making any money over night,i have a lot of free time now and i just want to focus my energy on something new and who knows,someday maybe profitable.This niche is really not that saturated in my country,there is like 2 sites like this and they are not that great.(full of ads and shit)I am ready to learn.
But can you explain in details,what do you mean by saying to not hosting the movies myself,you mean i shouldnt upload them myself and i need to embedded them from other sites or something.Maybe it is a stupid question but as i said i am really a beginner in this kid of stuff.

wordpress isnt as easy at it seems and if you have a free account you may want to check sometimes using plugins and premium products isnt allowed something about costing to much money if theres bug and it causes the site to crash there are two different wp .com and .org the second seems to be the better option for design its more open with less limits bitnami wordpress stack is easiest install if you dont know much about php my sql also paying 50 bucks is ridiculous i sent you a pm

My main problem I see before spending and money on site design is getting promoting u site so u get visits so spend a bit of time and more be of effect then u might make a few bucks and try and keep it clean from advertiser that will sell ads to u with virus in then you site will make it to number one

Not sure about that. I think these templates are only available if you are using their platform. You can confirm and give it a try.

You can easy find free template but free script for import movies, categorys and related content, it's not easy. I try but I was not succesful so I made my own.

wordpress is actually as easy as it seems if you take the time to learn to do it, but if you want it to look like a quality premium video service go to codecanyon.net and check out the video scripts on there, I have actually been hired to create a few premium video services my self and for me was very simple to setup, I also years ago had a hand in the worlds most popular streaming video service of witch I will not name due to a non disclosure agreement. but by me saying that the worlds most popular your imagination can put 2 and 2 together. here is what you need for a video streaming service

1. A HUGE SERVER WITH ATLEAST 5 TERABYTES OR MORE OF DISC SPACE & UNMETERED DATA.
2. A QUALITY VIDEO STREAMING PHP OR AJAX & OR JAVA BASED SCRIPT
3. A DEVELOPER / PROGRAMMER THAT KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING.

I think this latest point is universal for all projects, not only movie sites. Also, from same reason it is good read reievew even from paid plugins since developers sell something and they don't know how to do maintence.

Yes. Exactly, this is what I was thinking when I first saw this thread, you can't be uploading these movies without considering the implications with copyrights of these movies and such

Yeah, I agree that you can indeed use Wordpress but then it is going to be a complex task, no doubt, but yes there is a v. good option of using Youtube to take help for this project.
