Usually counting on one site to earn that amount is what is frustrating and could probably make you think you are not making money.But if lets say earning by 4 sites then the cashout is weekly or monthly then you are earning well from ptw sites and ptc sites without any investment.Also note that is earning from a lower tier country from reputable sites.

I know one ptc site that can make you earn 2 to 4 cents just for seamlessly doing almost nothing but opening push notifications.Now looking at sites everywhere I have not come across one that can bit this.To make matters worse in a tier3 country.Now you cant honestly call that a sail method.

If you have skills like article writing, social media promotion, reviews writing etc then you can join different Freelancers sites and can earn more than what you are thinking . But depends on your working .

There are legit writing sites but unfortunately they barely pay up to $50 per day . They mainly pay per view of the article and most times it requires a high number of views to be paid something reasonable
