If you need a codder + compiler to make a program, then how was the first compiler made ?
This sounds stupid but confusing at once ...

First language was the machine language which contained only bits(series of 1s and 0s).It didn't need compilation,just written into memory and executed as it is.Later Assembly language came,where this binary machine codes were written as some English words for different types of machines.Program in assembly language are directly translated into machine language and then executed. So the first compiler must be made using Assembly language.

thanks a lot mate, that's actually interesting, i never knew that they could make all of that out of the binary language (the one with 1's and 0's only )
