Is there some kind of free tool or app available to find out the total number of visitors for our own website? I don't want the visitor count embedded on the website? Have you used any free tools for tracking the daily visitors to your website? Please share your ideas.

Yes.I have used Google Analytics. It is an excellent good tool.I don't know if everything was shown exactly, but i was content with this tool.It even showed me in real time the visitors.

I recommend https://analytics.google.com
It's really the best free tool to see so much information about your website.
Visitors location, device, source, pages they visit, real-time stats and lot more.

I would also recommend Google analytics. But if you want to check what visitors are doining, I recommend Heap. In the begin it's a bit playing around how it works. But that's more if you have a product on you website so you can see what element on your website is well clicked. They have a free plan of 5k monthly/sessions and if you add their badge you'll get 50k. ;)

Google Analytics is a good way to track how many visitors you get to your website. It's a free tool, and you can get real time stats and you can get statistics on how many site visitors you get, and much more for free!

My personal preference is Google analytics. And then there are some alternatives like Histats and Woopra. But it is better to go with the google analytics. You would find much better value out of the tracking. I have seen some of the people moving to woopra for specific analytics. And the another alternatives is that you can use the other self hosted scripts. but thosse may require the cron job to run daily.

well i use for my blog it's name flag counter, here we can checkout the visitors from country. Hope it works better using google analytics.

I always see information about my blogs visitors in my blogger account. Just by clicking the stats, I can see how many views per country, the mobile device used and browser, the source where the link was visted from and the time each post was viewed.

I used Histats counter on many sites. With one account you can connect many sites.
Some features: live users, geo, browser, mobile stats, duration etc.

AWStats

AWStats comes pre-installed by numerous web hosting organizations. In case you're setting up your own server, you can download it for your own use. AWStats goes further into the referring sites' data than most analytics bundles, and is an ideal tool for observing whether someone is hotlinking documents from your site. Other than being an extraordinary analyst instrument for bandwith thieves, it offers the standard helpful tools expected from a statics package.

I think Google Analytics is the only free tool that provides authentic traffic data. Create an account with Google Analytics (it is easy if you are already using gmail, all you have to do is associate your gmail with an alalytic account). Create a property, which is a listing of your website. Then install google analytic plugin on your wordpress site. The plugin will give you a synopsis of traffic, where as your analytic account will give you a detailed report.

Hitstats
Yandex metrica
Heaps
Awstats
Google analytics
All the tools mentioned by above members for you hope you make use of these tools for yourself

Google analytics is good free tool through which you can check the visitor retention on your site, how many pages did he visit, for much time did he visit the page, from which site the user came and from which link he left your website. Each and every thing you can view easily.

The Google analytics software is basically the go-to software for everybody right now. I particularly love is because of how you can be able to do so many things that will not be readily available and all the tools. It is also free and as such once you have a website you can be able to go and register with Google analytics to view all your sites data.

There are many plugins and online tools you can use to easily track the daily visitors on your blog or website. My favourite one is google analytics which not only helps you in tracking daily visitors but also shows you a lot of other important stuff such as where your visitors are located and where they are coming from . It's a very helpful tool for tracking the overall performance of your website and can be a great utility

You can install any analytical widget or tools on your website to monitor visitors. One of the most popular tracking tool is Google Analytics, but there are more, each with their own strength and weaknesses. So, you just gotta pick one, try, and try another if the first one doesn't suit you.
