What is Bitcoin?

I remember the first time I researched BTC mining on a PC was a year back and already it was a saturated and competitive market to enter (I missed the mining bus as they call it). One thing for sure, was that I didn't have the tech savvy to build something mining-worthy, and not just an elaborate room heater. Electricity isn't exactly cheap where I live either, due to excessive taxation.

Cloud mining certainly seems to have some perks, you meddle with less hardware, you get less senseless heat from the computer and there's a lower electricity usage.

But it's not all flowers and sunshine, most cryptocurrency mining sites are complete ponzi schemes (they pay the earlier investors with money from the newer ones).

Legit sites also have a thing called maintenance and electricity fees ("MEF"), which adds up as expense on your otherwise flawless plan of gaining profit in the span of 6 months. Another thing is that mining difficulty increases as more cryptocurrency is mined and there's a huge variation in the balance of cryptocurrency making frequent re-calculations of your "plan" necessary to avoid going into negative profit.

Has anyone successfully seen any profit from Cloud mining? Even small sum stories, I'd like to hear the experience.

I've got a high end PC worth $2,000+ :Greedy i7 5820K + GTX 980TI + 32 GB RAM and alot pf space.
This thing is on 12h+ every day and I work on it, is it possible to earn one of these crypto coins :BTC: :ETH::LTC::XMR::DOGE::DASH::XRP::PPC::NMC: while doing so or once set up this PC cannot be used for something else???
When you mining Cryptocurrency on your PC you don't use it for anything else.
Because mining takes all the CPU and GPU process to mine Cryptocurrency.

how much bitcoin you going to receive for mining let me say 24 hours a day? Is that worth to leave your pc to open for 24 hours?
It's depend on your PC Specs and GPU etc. If's the electricity cost of your city is higher don't mine your PC because all your earning goes for that electricity bills.

I saw one bitcoin mining in freebitco.in but I don't know if how it works, besides I don't have enough bitcoins, If I'm going to go for mining i'm not able to use my computer right?

We all are new to cryptocurrencies, different sites have different ways of bitcoin mining, but simple most are like PTC. Some new crypto PTC are giving mining to just open the ad and wait for the timer. You can open more than one miner at same time. Yet we are not sure about the legit sites.

I'm afraid to use my PC for any form.of mining because of overheating of the system couple with the fact that my location hardly have constant light.it becomes pretty difficult for me will love to do this.

I have never tried mining before, aside for the reason that I am afraid getting scammed on investing sites, I also read that minimg can heat up you phone or your pc, which can also cause damage for your device, and that costs much that what profit I can get.

Me too was searching for a site that will you in return get a good return from mining in it but never found one to pay u good in return. Think that electricty fees will be bigger anyway

Yes,you are right about it.If you want to start cryptocurrency mining, you will need a pc separately, that you will rum 24 hours from 24 hours, doing only the mining work. You are right about electricity. Many people doing mining, were complaining about it.Using solar panels could be a cheaper choice.

Good morning, late nights! The reason for this topic is to share an idea that I have and obviously everyone has. I have the possibility to get a very, very low cost almost free I would say. Low mid-range PC Lower than average. I would be very grateful that we analyze this together! The idea would be to mine all the time and I do not have to be troubled by light by luck. I'll explain why later. Salu2

I agree with you. Mining bitcoin is not worth it if you it cannot cover the electricity it consumes for
running you pc for long hours everyday. It would be much better if you will just save the money for electricity instead of using bitcoin mining site.

Never do any crypto currency mining at your home ,it will end in resulting loss and it will produce huge distracting rough sound and cost high electricity installation cost is very high instead use trusted cloud mining such as Genensis mining etc or install some software if you want !!,thankx!!....

Yes,I am of the same opinion.Long time ago it was more easier to get some Bitcoins, than it is nowadays.I think everything has to do with the price of Bitcoin.Since the price of this cryptocurrency has rise so high,it is much harder to get them.Either way:buying them with currency(dollar etc) costs a lot, mining them the same way.All the involved costs are too high. So,if somebody wants to hold some Bitcoins must find some ways how to get them.
I think the mining will continue to get harder. And people have to adjust with that fact. So you can see that some of the time bitcoin mining is a bit harder. And some of the time people have to really understand how to get things properly started. and in that context you can see NEM, DASH seems to be in their set of demand for mining. I think bitcoin, ether would be harder to mine from here onwards. and it's not going to be helping as well.

Mining hasn't been very easy even till now.Taking in consideration all the cost etc.I think, now that many people's attention turned towards cryptocurrencies, especially Bitcoin, because of his spectacular rise in value, from now on ,it won't be easy to get some Bitcoins.

PC mining, I observed, is that it gives a very slow result. It can't even produce half a dollar in a day. It's not also economical compared to the cost of electricity. It's also true that working for bitcoin is getting harder and harder, compared before- unless you have a number of active referrals.

So,you have been in Bitcoin mining activity?Till now,I have only read online, that it is not worth to do Bitcoin mining, taking in count the involved costs. Now,you have confirmed it.Then it is even better,to earn satoshis with faucets, than to do Bitcoin mining...

Hello all i want to know how make a small bitcoin rig which i can use from my home i dont to earn big from the miner i just want a stable (low earning but stable) earning for every day Thanks in advance

Yeah, your PC i see worth earning litecoins and doge but earning btc will require pc with high graphics card and memory and cache as wll. ....

It will be nice catcher for future..Best of luck

That's true.. Now I'm more inclined in collecting satoshis and I found faucethub.io to great. I can earn about 5000 satoshis daily, not using the whole day.

Bitcoin mining is like PTC but earning is rather slow than earning in PTC, it will take too much time and energy of computer to keep open the mining site. You earn little (in satoshi) for wasting computer data and electricity+ computer's efficiency.
