Hello, i want to create a shortener business,
i already got my vps from ovh, i know to use loading balancers, if i have to deal with many traffic. Even i know how to migrate to cloud if is necesary-
i bought a short domain,
i already set up my Adlinkfly script from codecanyon
i installed TLS. for https
i know that i can add some proxy and bots protection paying some money, Adlinkfly gives me that option in its panel
I will pay por publicity via facebook ads, promoting my website to start to get my first users and the start to get viral, if i got lucky.


But i actually what i want to know, it's about experience, that i don't have. How make it profitable. How many ads, interstital, banners, popups, notifications i have to put in my website, how to not get scam, how to pay my users automaticly, how to calculate payout rates to make it profitablem, and some other tips that i can't find even in google and maybe you help.
In conclusion, to make my business safe and profitable.


I listed all the things i already done above because i don't want that you think that i'm asking for spoon feed, i don't really find info about to start the business after setup.

well yes you don't have experience, but that doesn't mean you'll never earn it , it's a matter of time , ads depend on you , if you want to annoy users or no, same goes to pop ups, you can choose the payout rates you are ready to pay , users can't be paid automatically because you have to keep checking their traffic if it's legal or no

I will suggest you learn while on it to really find out what works and what need to be tweaked to work and make more profit. Don't expect s huge profit at the beginning. Slow and steady does it better. Good luck

You are made good moves based on basic things you have been able to gathered, as to ads I advise you work with few sticky ads to encourage more users to use the shortener, if the ads are much it discourages. Don't auto pay members for a start cos you will run at loss, you should also make reward based on geographical location as some countries don't generate enough quality traffic. You can start now while you improve on daily basis.

Isn't that prohibited in their ToS? Like paid or incentivized traffic.

AFAIK, the ads I see in those shorteners were never from Google.

I saw so much using it to be honest I don't know how they did like they drive a traffic to a normal page which has the link and that page is monetised by google adsense

Here's one "recent" discussion on why AdSense is not ideal for URL shorteners:

Link shorteners are not suitable for AdSense. There are already millions of them, so new ones cannot be original. What's more, they do not offer the information / article / text based original content that AdSense demands.

As you say, there are many link shorteners out there. Millions. So why make another? The market is over-saturated and demand has been met.

When you see AdSense on other sites, that doesn't mean they would be approved now if used in a new application. Any link shorteners going through approval are now rejected.

Exactly, which is definitely not what the OP would want.

A-Ads is a pretty good choice since one doesn't have to register in order to earn from the ads.

You are absolutely correct, starting of a business will not necessarily mean you will start earning, it takes time before everything falls back in place

Yeah, no. Read the thread first before commenting - Adsense is not good for url shortening business. Try other network like site ad, A ads and other.

The business can be done both online and offline,its one of the business that I have done before its dosnt invoved more money to start,the promotion is what that matters the most,so for this reason you can recommend it for a freind.

Try to use less dusturbing ads first so that popularity rises. Avoiding scamming is never easy. There may be some scripts to detect VPN or ad blockers. Design of website also matters a lot.
