You have to pay Facebook to show your page and it's content to larger number of Facebook users ,and in turn they will sign up and you will have a larger number of followers where you can sell product

Ow now I understand. Promoting my Facebook page to attract more people. Like if I own a page where I sell various electronic items, I will pay facebook to bring me some people so to promote my business. Thanks for the information.

It's because of the promotion that I prefer to use Facebook groups. You get more engagement and more people for free.

My experiences are a little different. I see facebook groups being flooded by spammers. Most of the members of facebook groups are only interested in sharing their content, they are not interested in what others are sharing. I have been a part of numerous facebook groups and had to leave because people were using it just to drop their content.

Facebook has page feature that allows page owner to restrict others from posting in his group, except for comments . You can use it ,and also remove spammers from the group .

I think you should look for business with less competition if you are a newbie. If you want to enter those business environment with high competition I, suggest you should do it differently because all the traffic has been used.
