Hey, my website was under small DDOS attack recently and I'm looking for some information how to protect the website itself from it. Thanks in advance!

try the following:

- modsecurity firewall, set to active mode

- then for the next 2 weeks or less, download the logs, and see the ip addresses who did this to your website

- use the ip blocking or .htaccess to block these ip address, block the whole range of ip set since they are mostly proxies

I think you need to apply these things and not just theoretically enumerate them here.

i hope it helps.
we like to help each other here.

I'm not sure if it is enough... Still looking for more possible options to save my website from those attacks

youtube is already filled with this videos my brother.
I think you should have Cloud which will help you to protect your web page. However, if you are all looking to protect your web page by cloud and about its setup I can make video for your solution.

DDos means distributed denial of service. This attacks are always launch on sites to disrupt the site from being available to the target users and lead to the sites losing some vital data and files.

You can use a Content Delivery Network, which will help distribute your website traffic across multiple servers and make it harder for attackers to overwhelm your server. You can also use a web application firewall to filter out malicious traffic and protect your website from attacks.

To protect your website from DDOS attacks, consider using a Web Application Firewall (WAF), implementing rate limiting, utilizing DDOS mitigation services from your hosting provider, keeping your server and software updated, and monitoring traffic for unusual spikes. A content delivery network (CDN) can also provide added protection. Use strong passwords for server and account security and consult your hosting provider for tailored measures.
