Being in a partnership doesn't mean that you both will supprot each others till death, in fact, issues and troubles with a partner is worse than having your own issues, what steps could you do to protect yourself from those troubles and if any of it happens ?

Yeah i also think one important strategy that could help prevent partnership conflict is that there should be a profit and loss sharing ratio

I think having everything write down on paper legally would help, put down all partner roles, responsibility, the profit percentahe that they'll get, when something happens with the business what will they get, basically write down anything that you think would cause problems
on the paper and you both have to sign it.

Yes you can prevent partnership future confliction by joining hands together,to make sure that there is no agreement between the two of you and by communicating always.

what do you mean by that?thou you made some point here but the most important thing is that there must be trust and honesty between both of you, partnership need you to build trust between you and your partner

I'd suggest to those in partnership business and the partner becomes too difficult to handle, to either buy out the partner or sell to him. In either of the cases, there must be backup plans which may include a new business opportunity or venture.

I think if partners are able to have a well detailed and documented terms and conditions before commencing the business which will also be backed by law , the troubles will not come but when they do , the law will help resolve it .

I don't think there's a way to prevent it since many external, uncontrollable force that will eventually rock your business. Not to mention idea clashes are also common in this type of partnership.

the only way you can cast away conflicts with your partners in times of business is understanding. if you guys understand each other more i think the business will move smoothly,
Indeed! Understanding and trust play important roles in preventing conflict in a business and even when it happens, it is easily settled before it escalates.

Terms and conditions for the partnership to hold must be laid out and both parties must agree to it to proceed. Secondly there must be a signed written agreement with a third party involved preferably a Lawyer. Thirdly agreement must kept at all cost.

These are valid points, the moment a lawyer is involved the deal is sealed and if there is gonna be any fallout both parties must be in agreement for that also.

This is actually paramount in every business. However, there some circumstances that can still bring conflict outside matters stated in legal documents. They have to learn to understand one another and solve things amicably.

You are right but I am saying this cos I have seen it happen. What I have listed is very important to any partnership cos there is bound to be conflict when money is involve no matter how close the partners are. The written agreement will make conflict resolution much easier.

I agree with you. Most of the conflicts can be resolved when they refer back to the document they made. Therefore, it is so important that they make agreements before commencing on the business.

Some people can just be difficult to deal with and as such you need to solve issues will them as it arises. With partners having and working with the rules will really help

Partners should also have maximum trust in each other so that instead of conflicts, it would be just disagreeing to agree situations between them.

There have been cases of a partner who always causes issues in the business because he was indirectly seeking to split up the partnership dubiously. They may even go as far as diverting clients to some other business owned by the controversial partner.

If you have binding agreement this won't be a problem because it is fundamental that not all partnership will last in business so if there is need to split , you do that legally.

Yeah you are right. The worst mistake anyone could make is venturing into a partnership without. Binding legal document. That is why it is advised that you should not enter into business with sentiments.

I think the issue is that there would always be problem of agreement between partners at the end , like it would be hard to join hands to together and the solution to it , is to just share the duties
