So I'm talking about a free hosting and domain on Wordpress.com. I need quality and clear ideas on how to monetize the blog. can i use Google Adsense? ideas please.

I'm not sure but I read that Google Adsense doesn't work on subdomains considering this is free hosting. Perhaps you could try word ads. Like I said, i'm not so sure. Maybe others can share ideas with you.

If it is wordpress.com then you are limited with monetization options. For example, you can do WordAds only as of now. you can use gumroad links on the wordpress.com but they are kind of paranoid at wordpress.com. And they limit you for monetization. I'd say better to use other blogs like blogger, livejournal etc for the monetization instead.

Free Wordpress version don't allow any type of monetization. You have to purchase any paid package if you want put ads and earn from it.

Even with the paid package, you don't get to monetize. They have created their own ad network named WordAds. And they only allow the Wordpress.com users in that ad network. It seems like with wordpress.com you don't have any ways to monetize the websites. Which is kind of lacking.

Background miners site get ranked low on Google. And in fact many people have detector on their antivirus on background mining sites. So that's a bad move. Using URL shortner too much on any website would only lead to the loss of ranking and traffic won't return either. Only affiliate marketing here would be reasonable for use.

Background CPU miners are generally a nuisance for the majority of Internet users, but if you make it optional so the script can only run with the user's consent, it wouldn't be much of a problem. For paid URL shorteners, I didn't know they would affect search rankings and traffic. Could you elaborate?

I have seen it gets blocked and if reported to google or say something phishtank type website, where their extension on browser filters sites with CPU miners, script kiddies etc. And if google notices this and mark it as malware, that's domain level penalty. It's only going to affect the ranking. So not worth it for affiliate marketers. I'd only use CPU miners on sites like say gaming related or throw away info type websites where ranking isn't the issue. Anything related to authority site and the proper niche website should not use it.

Oh ok. Thanks for the information though. I previously knew that antivirus softwares usually detect mining scripts as malware, but wasn't aware that they could affect search rankings negatively.

So even with package we can't put ads from other networks except WordAds? That is very bad and I think wordpress will lose users with that move.

No if you are on the subscription plan on wordpress.com account, you can't use any other ads than the wordads. You can get your own hosting and domain and then add wordpress to it and use any other ad network. Wordpress.com is strict network for bloggers. and they do lose users but they have corporate accounts so they don't care.
