I engage regularly in collecting cryptocurrencies from faucets, especially bitcoin faucets. I consume the shortlinks there a lot but now, I want to be a shortlinks provider. When I mean shortlinks, I don't mean PTC ads but the shortlinks from faucets where you need to click several pages before the final destination because that is what most URL shorteners like shrinkme.io and ctr.sh provide.
I want to ask:
1. Is it a profitable business? I see that most URL shorteners give a $3 minimum for 1000 views while faucets charge $1 for 1000 views except for some high-end faucets. But I don't know much about other aspects of the business. So, if anyone can advise me on whether it is profitable, I would be happy to know.
2. Which faucets accept applications from people like me to provide them with shortlinks? On most faucets I am a part of, they only provide that one gives them PTC ads but they have shortlinks sections. I have written to those faucets on how I can provide them with shortlinks but there is no reply from their end. I am beginning to believe this is not a transparent business or what? If anyone can give me the link to a faucet that accepts shortlinks applications I would be happy. I will check the rates out and decide if I can participate.

I don't really understand your post. Are you asking how to start your own url shortner website or are you trying to join any of them?
If you are trying to join any of them. Then you will need to search on Google and join them. They have no requirement to join and it is free.
If you want to own your own. You should ask a developer to develop one for you or you buy script and install it to your website.

To be very honest with you, I wouldn't advise you to go into faucet. Though, faucets are real but the money is little. And it takes too much time. Imagine you spending your whole day on faucet and you made $3 for the whole day when you can spend just four to five hours on other sites to make more than that $3. Check other things to do instead of faucets. You may waste your data

I think that making a faucet site is a much better option rather than joining a faucet site because the owners of these faucet sites are making much more money than those who join them for making money. Majority of the faucet site owners make a good amount of money from advertising revenue and pop-up advertisement because pop-up advertisements pay much more than other kind of ads like banner ads.

That is true. Creating and having our own faucet website is far better than claiming from faucet websites. But it is not all faucet websites that are successful.

I think the best thing to do is to target some countries when you create your faucet. Countries like USA can give you more money per 1000 clicks than most countries unless it's a fixed rate. Have also considered running other ads like banners or pop up ads on your site. It can give you additional revenue if you find a way to keep your members on the platform.

You have observed right. Most people have associated making money through URL, as a waste of time. Therefore they don't really put much effort on making money through it. This has really reduced the number of companies that do use short URL as their means of making money.

That's a bitter truth. Faucet is not seen as a good platform to make money. We need to find some reliable way of making money. Faucet should only be considered if we don't need much money or we are only trying to whine away time..
